Josh Colaizzi is a 2026 OF/RHP, SS with a 5-9 185 lb. frame from Bartlett, IL, who attends Bartlett. A more compact frame with some sturdiness to the build. Strength throughout the frame. Ran a 6.90 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder who moved with athletic actions in the outfield with good footwork moving through it. Had some energy as he attacked the ball. He fielded it off the front foot and had a more over-the-top release with a medium arm path. He was quick and whippy with his arm, pulled down from the high slot hard, producing throws that were up to 90 mph during his outfield reps—settled into his round well. A right-handed hitter who has a physical look in the batter's box. Keeps a narrow base in an even and upright stance. His hands are tighter to his body in his stance. He's short to the ball, staying quick and compact with his stroke. He gets the weight off the back hip and can produce some jump off the barrel. Produced an 89 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. He hit well in-game as well with a barrel to left field. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher, working from the wind-up, with a segmented leg lift around the letters, with the knee tucked between his hands and the chest. He drives downhill pretty well, staying on-line. Worked from a higher over-the-top arm slot, with a clean takeaway, hiding it well through the back. He worked 79-82 mph on the fastball with some downhill angle and life to his pitches. He occasionally showed cut on the fastball, mainly when working arm-side. Showed a bigger 11/5 shaped curveball in the mid-60s, with spin up around 2,175 RPMs. It also showed a higher slider with a more lateral shape, with tighter and higher spin up around 2,286 RPMs, working in the mid-70s. He settled in quite well during his outing on the mound. Great student. Named to 2024 Chicago Indoor Showcase TP List.
