Alex Guzman is a 2028 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B, MIF, OF with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Sahuarita, AZ who attends Sahuarita. Features a medium-sized lean build. Ran a 7.72 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed fundamental actions and some feel for the position. Works low to the ball with some light feet and lateral quickness. Gets his eyes behind it and fields it with soft hands. Used a shorter arm action that got off low effort throws with some quality strength for his level but with 50/50 accuracy. At the plate, he sits in a wider stance. Hands takeback and load into a slight arm bar. Sight coil of the upper half when he initiates his leg lift trigger. Compact swing that works on a sllght uphill path with a higher two-hand finish. Above avg. bat/hand speed for his level. Results were solid where he delivered barrels consistently to all fields. Hitterish vibes throughout his round. On the mound, he side steps into a mid chest knee lift. Quality drive leg engagement where he gets down the mound well for a longer stride. Uses a loose/clean arm stroke where the arm gets up early and releases out of a normal 3/4 slot with avg. arm speed. His fastball worked into the low 70s and mixed in an upper 50s slurvy breaker that induced some buckled takes. Named to Top Prospects List.
