Jack Affenita is a 2027 C/OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Bayport, NY who attends Bayport-Blue Point. Tall, lean frame with great physical projection. Ran a 7.74 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, higher staggered feet setup, compact arm action and quick release, comes out of the crouch with good athleticism. Throws come out of the hand well with carry, accurate throws recorded up to 66 mph and a pop-time of 2.14. Secondary outfielder, has fundamentally sound actions getting to the ball, glove gets down early and works through grounders with one hand on the side of the frame, long transfer and good arm strength for the age. Recorded throws up to 75 mph with accuracy around the bag. Right-handed hitter, medium and even base, high hands and a low back elbow in the stance, hover leg lift trigger, gets the barrel out front and hit the ball hard to all fields. Simple movements and repeats the barrel path well. Good student. Named to 2023 14u Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
