Nick Horn is a 2017 RHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Seattle, WA who attends John F Kennedy Catholic HS. Tall, lean frame with wiry strength. Shows a very projectable loose arm action on the mound from a high 3/4 to overtop slot. Tends to have a cross body arm action from the 3/4 slot. Drives to the plate with a short stride and is able to create downhill angle on delivery. Shows good arm speed and gets extended out front on the release. Commands the strike zone with a 4-seam fastball that ranged from 79-81mph, topped at 82mph. Slider has short, late tilt command potential topping at 74mph. Also flashed a softer 10/4 curveball at 69mph and was able to keep hitter off balance. Has a good presence on the mound with the ability to pound the zone with all three pitches. Young athletic actions with arm projection. Good student as well.
