2015 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Brett Dooley is a 2016 C with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Cohasset, MA who attends Cohasset HS. Large, athletic build with long limbs and a projectable frame with room to fill out throughout. Ran a 7.16 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, receives the ball out front, shows quickness to arm action with a tight and compact release through the back. Projects with continued incorporation of lower half, has present strength and accuracy on throws down to second base. Right-handed hitter, starts with balanced stance in the box with a high hand set and a high back elbow. Pulls hands back at start of swing, shows bat speed coming through the zone with extension out front. Shows comfort hitting to middle and pull sides of the field but can drive to opposite field with strength off barrel. Projects well with added strength. Good student.
