Boone Rush is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Portland, OR who attends Grant HS. Long and slender build, plenty of room to get stronger. Standard leg lift delivery with good direction down the mound, long and loose arm action from an extended 3/4's arm slot, arm works well coming through and out front, has some projection to his stuff. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, has lots of late running and sinking life, showed the ability to move his fastball in and out. Gets good curveball spin in the mid-60's, sweeping 2/8 break with good depth, change up was straight but had deception due to arm speed. Threw strikes with all his pitches and created plenty of swing and miss. Should keep improving as long as he can get stronger. Good student.
