2016 Top Prospects

Zane Zurbrugg  SS - 2016 - Bremerton, WA
Shoreline CC

Zurbrugg is athletic enough to play all over the field with his 6.75 speed and 86 mph arm strength but the best tool he showed was his bat in the games. He really hit the ball hard consistently to all fields and his speed was good a couple times for an extra base.

Thomas Rudinsky  C - 2016 - Portland, OR
Uncommitted

Rudinsky had one of the best swings at the showcase, with a very short and efficient path and power to the gaps. He also threw 76 mph with a 2.04 pop time behind the plate.

Jack Dellinger  P - 2016 - Bellevue, WA
Virginia Tech

Dellinger has a very athletic 6-5/205 build with broad shoulders and plenty of projection. He topped out at 85 mph with a nice easy arm action and created tight spin on a 70 mph curveball.

Ethan McGregor  SS - 2016 - Langley, BC CAN
Northeastern Junior College

McGregor is a two-way prospect who showed good bat speed at the plate as a primary shortstop but who was also up to 86 mph with a very sharp breaking slider on the mound. He's a long limbed athlete who projects well physically.

James Bradwell  RHP - 2016 - Roberts Creek, BC CAN
University of British Columbia/Western Oklahoma State College

Bradwell has a very projectable 6-5/195 build and a fast arm that produced a fastball up to 86 mph with good sinking action and also had advanced feel for his change up.

Tyler Kim  OF - 2016 - Bellevue, WA
Uncommitted

Kim had the best run and throw tools at the showcase, posting a 6.67 sixty time to go with a 1.62 ten yard burst to go with 86 mph arm strength from the outfield. He has the same type of quick twitch muscles in his hands at the plate.

Hunter French  RHP - 2016 - Richland, WA
Uncommitted

French has a nice pitcher's build at 6-3/175 with plenty of room to fill out. He has a clean on-line delivery with good downhill angle on a fastball that reached 85 mph. He showed flashes with his slider and could throw it more often than he did.

James Geiger  LHP - 2016 - Redmond, WA
Uncommitted

Geiger looks the part at 6-3/180 and has a loose athletic build and a loose and fast arm. He topped out at 84 mph with plenty more velocity in there with additional strength and flashed hard downer spin and depth to his curveball.

Anthony Amicangelo  OF - 2016 - Bremerton, WA
South Carolina/Johnson County CC

Amicangelo has some some present strength on his 5-9/185 pound build and lots of athletic tools. He ran a 6.95 sixty, showed lots of arm strength from both the infield and outfield and swung the bat with authority from the right side.

Aaron Beaulaurier  OF - 2016 - Spokane, WA
Rice/Paris Junior College

Beaulaurier has some present strength that give him present bat speed and the ability to drive the ball up the gaps. He's a good runner and has smooth and athletic actions in the outfield.

Charles Bucolo  SS - 2016 - Eagle River, AK
Chemeketa CC

We've been seeing more and more players from Alaska at West Coast events, which is a great thing. Bucolo can play in the lower 48 with his tools, especially his bat speed and his ability to drive fastballs.

Brendan Gerbert  1B - 2016 - Surrey, BC CAN
San Diego City College

Gerbert has a strong and athletic build at 6-1/200 and a fluid right handed swing with plenty of bat speed and power potential. He also looked very athletic during first base drills and we wonder if he wouldn't be better suited defensively at third base.

Connor Johnson  RHP - 2016 - Kirkland, WA
Uncommitted

Johnson is a nice all around athlete who showed well in all aspects of the game. He ran a 7.03, showed athleticism in the outfield, hit the ball with some pop in games and was up to 82 mph off the mound.

2017 Top Prospects

Jon Fortner  RHP - 2017 - Portland, OR
High Point

Fortner is 6-3/185 and has a deceptive delivery that he repeats well and two quality pitches in a fastball that reaches 84 mph to go with a mid-70's slider that is tight and sharp with swing and miss potential.

Gabriel Skoro  OF - 2017 - Portland, OR
Portland

Skoro has a nice projectable 6-1/160 build and very good present speed at 6.82 in the sixty. He has some present bat speed with quick hands to the ball and should continue to get stronger as he matures physically.

Logan Gerling  RHP - 2017 - Gig Harbor, WA
Tacoma CC

Gerling was up to 84 mph with his fastball with lots of sinking action down in the zone and has plenty more velocity in his arm as he fills out and gets stronger.

Kyle Knell  SS - 2017 - Tigard, OR
Uncommitted

Knell is a shortstop with a good combination of present bat speed with a loose, extended swing and present running speed at 7.00 in the sixty. He'll keep improving as he gets stronger.

John Arndorfer  OF - 2017 - Lake Oswego, OR
Notre Dame

Arndorfer has a very projectable 6-2/175 build and nice running and throwing tools in the outfield. He hits left handed and shows flashes of bat speed that will just keep improving as he gets stronger.

Ben McKay  SS - 2017 - Wenatchee, WA
Uncommitted

McKay graded out very well on defense in the middle infield, with strong fundamentals and a smooth and projectable throwing arm. He has raw bat speed at the plate but not the same quality fundamentals.

Nick Hull  RHP - 2017 - Bothell, WA
Grand Canyon

Hull has a mature set of pitches he commanded well in an 84 mph fastball, a sharp slider in the low 70's along with a fading change up in the mid-70's.

Alex Lambeau  SS - 2017 - Bellevue, WA
Loyola Marymount

Lambeau has a nice balance of tools, starting with good strength and bat speed in his right handed swing and going through his speed and arm strength in the middle infield.

Ryan Funk  C - 2017 - Sisters, OR
Lower Columbia College

Funk pretty much dominated pitchers all event, going 6-7 with lots of hard contact. He has good hands behind the plate with a quick release.

2018 Top Prospects

Jayson Schroeder  RHP - 2018 - Kirkland, WA
University of Washington

Schroeder has already verbally committed to Washington and it's easy to see why the Huskies were so interested. The strongly build right hander sat at 86-88 mph for three innings with outstanding cutting life to his fastball. Schroeder also swung the bat very well and picked up a couple of extra base hits.

Trent Sellers  RHP - 2018 - Kennewick, WA
Washington State

Sellers is a very good athlete with a loose and fast arm. He only topped out at 81 mph this outing but college coaches tell us he's been up to 85 this past summer and it's easy to see that and more is in his arm. Sellers curveball, which was a big sweeper at 72 mph, was a very good pitch.

Tellier Lundquist  OF - 2018 - Medina, WA
Uncommitted

Lundquist stood out for his loose and projectable 6-1/160 build and his smooth and strong left handed swing. He drove the ball hard to both gaps and picked up a couple of extra base hits.

Zach Stamolis  2B - 2018 - Sammamish, WA
Uncommitted

Stamolis showed quick hands and lots of athleticism on defense in the middle infield. He also has a compact clean swing with good lower half use at the plate and should keep getting better in both areas.

Michael Fernandez  3B - 2018 - Bellevue, WA
Uncommitted

Fernandez has some present strength for a sophomore and a nice left handed swing that impacted the ball hard to the middle of the field. He's athletic on defense with good arm strength for his age.

Matt Boissoneault  C - 2018 - Mercer Island, WA
Seattle

Boissoneault has a nice set of projectable tools for a sophomore and some present tools to go with it, including a strong arm behind the plate that also produced an 80 mph fastball on the mound.

2019 Top Prospects

Carter Young  SS - 2019 - Selah, WA
Vanderbilt

Young is a very good athlete with some quick twitch actions for his age and some youthful strength as well. He's a primary shortstop at present but he was intriguing behind the plate and we'd like to see him at that position more in the future.

Skyler Loverink  LHP - 2019 - Chandler, AZ
Uncommitted

It wouldn't surprise us at all if Loverink comes on fast over the next few years. He's just topping out at 77 mph now but is a loose 6-2/160 with very good mechanics and already has an advanced feel for spinning a curveball.
