Dates for 2015 Perfect Game National Showcase,
Perfect Game All-American Classic revealed

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Perfect Game has announced the dates for the 2015 Perfect Game National Showcase and the 2015 Perfect Game All-American Classic. The National Showcase will take place Wednesday, June 17 through Monday, June 22 and will once again be held at JetBlue Ballpark in Fort Myers, Fla. The 2015 Perfect Game All-American Classic will return to Petco Park in San Diego, Calif. on Sunday, August 16, and for the third year in a row will be broadcast on MLB Network.

The National Showcase will consist of over 300 of the top prospects from the high school class of 2016 from across the country. The event serves as the beginning of the scouting circuit for the 2015-16 season, held just after the 2015 MLB Draft, giving scouts and college recruiters an excellent opportunity to analyze the top players as they perform with and against one another.

Since the event's inception in 2001, nearly 200 future big leaguers have attended the National Showcase, and over 1,600 players that have attended the event have gone on to be selected in Major League Baseball's First Year Amateur Player Draft. In 2014, 37 of the 72 players selected on the first day of the draft (the top two rounds) had previously attended the National Showcase, 30 of which did so in 2013. This includes all 15 high school players selected in the first round.

Preceding the PG National Showcase will be the 2015 Junior National Showcase. The Junior National Showcase will have over 200 of the top prospects from across the country from the 2017 and 2018 high school classes, and will be held June 14-16, also at JetBlue Ballpark in Fort Myers.

2014 marked the 12th
year of the Perfect Game All-American Classic, and since the game's inception in 2003 seven former PG All-Americans have been selected with the first overall pick, including Brady Aiken in 2014. Over 90 former All-Americans have made their MLB debuts, and 149 have been selected in the first round of the draft. Through the years more than one out of every three PG All-Americans have gone on to be drafted in the first round.

The proceeds of the Perfect Game All-American Classic support pediatric cancer treatment and research, with Rady Children's Hospital serving as the primary beneficiary since the game was moved to Petco Park in San Diego in 2009. Since the game's inception in 2003 over $800,000 has been raised for this cause.

For the second consecutive year Nike Baseball will serve as the official on and off field performance footwear and apparel provider for the Perfect Game All-American Classic. Participating players will have the opportunity to experience and debut Nike's latest footwear and apparel innovations throughout the event. Nike Baseball, Rawlings, Louisville Slugger, EvoShield and Zepp Labs will all be activating partners with the Perfect Game National and Junior National Showcases.
