With a 6-foot-4, 195-pound frame Mendoza may not possess the typical shortstop build, and as he continues to mature and add strength he’ll probably end up shifting to the hot corner. That should not be an issue as he possesses more than athleticism, arm strength and ability with the bat to profile well there.
