2015 MLB Draft Pick/Signings List

The deadline for signing players from the 2015 MLB Draft has come and gone, as players that were selected June 8-10 in the First Year Player Draft had until 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday to sign with their respective clubs. Of the 60 former PG All-Americans that were selected, 40 elected to begin their professional careers.

The collective total of the bonuses these former PG All-Americans signed for is quite staggering, as that total came to $63,300,380, and that doesn't include the bonuses for Luke Wakamatsu, Devin Davis and Taylore Cherry, whose bonuses were not available.

Of the 60 players taken, that's an average of over $1.05 million per player. Of the 40 players that signed, that's an average of over $1.58 million per player.

Alex Bregman, who participated in the 2011 Perfect Game All-American Classic, received the highest such bonus of $5.9 million as the second overall pick of the Houston Astros. Brendan Rodgers, the next pick, signed for $5.5 million with the Colorado Rockies. The Astros also signed Kyle Tucker, and fifth overall pick, and Daz Cameron, the 37
th overall pick, for $4 million each.

Houston also signed 11th-round pick Patrick Sandoval for $900,000, which collectively amounted to $14.8 million that the Astros used to sign four Perfect Game All-Americans.

The Astros draft and signing efforts this year are similar to the 2012 MLB Draft when they selected and signed Carlos Correa, the first overall pick, Lance McCullers, the 41st overall pick, and their fourth-round selection, Rio Ruiz, for $9.15 million collectively. Correa and McCullers are already performing at a high level for the Astros during their rookie seasons, who entered the All-Star break trailing the Los Angeles Angels by a half-game in the American League West standings.

Since the game's inception in 2003, 165 PG All-Americans have been selected in the first round of the draft. Correa and McCullers are two of 109 All-Americans that have already played in the big leagues, which includes the
11 that were named to the recently completed 2015 Major League All-Star Game in Cincinnati.

Here are the Perfect Game All-Americans selected in the 2015 MLB Draft and the bonuses they signed for. For the players that didn't sign their college commitment (or the school they attend in 2014 that they intend to return to for the 2016 season) is listed in parenthesis.
