For the second week in a row, Marjory Stoneman Douglas (Fla.) holds the top spot in the rankings, as it (and the rest of Florida) heads into the regional playoffs. The rest of the top five saw a bit of reshuffling, as Archbishop McCarthy (Fla.) and Orange Lutheran (Calif.) both lost last week, sending them from Nos. 2 and 3 to 5 and 4, respectively. Coppell (Texas), which held the top spot for well over a month, is in the No. 2 spot this week, well within striking distance of reclaiming the throne. Walton (Ga.) rises all the way to No. 3 on the strength of an undefeated week.

The 6-10 spots also saw some serious shuffling this week, with Barbe (La.) rising to No. 6, Buchanan (Calif.) climbing three spots to No. 7, and Buford (Ga.), Lake Travis (Texas) and JSerra (Calif.) rounding out the top 10. 

Newcomer Teurlings Catholic (La.) finds itself all the way up at No. 18, making their rankings debut on the strength of a dominant season in Louisiana, including wins over Blessed Trinity (Ga.), also ranked this week, Lafayette (La.) and St. Thomas More (La.), all extremely strong teams having good seasons. 

Making the biggest week-to-week jump in this edition is Shawnee Mission East (Kan.), as it raced off to a dominant start in the state of Kansas, riding ace and potential first round draft choice Joey Wentz, who, in four starts this season, has yet to allow a hit. One would be hard-pressed to find a draft prospect with more stock helium in the world than the left-hander Wentz. 

Blessed Trinity (Ga.) also made their rankings debut this week, checking in at No. 46. 

A big matchup to watch this week with significant rankings ramifications will be out on the West Coast, as fourth-ranked Orange Lutheran plays host to 10th-ranked JSerra. The rankings could look pretty different in the top 10 next week, depending on how that matchup shakes out.
