Deion Cole, an uncommitted powerhouse, is the No.9-ranked player in the class of 2026. This week, Cole can be found playing for the USA Prime National 15U team alongside other top players like middle infielder Rouselle “Rookie” Shepard and left-handed pitcher Kruz Schoolcraft.

This week, 368 teams have been going head-to-head at the 21st annual 15U WWBA National Championship. With four games already under their belts, Cole and the Prime have been looking solid all week. Having only allowed three runs while scoring fifty, the Prime has the potential to outlast a lot of the teams out at East Cobb this week.

On Monday, the Prime attacked at the plate all afternoon, posting a 14-1 run-rule win against the DPC 2026 National. Yesterday afternoon the Prime came out swinging again, scoring 11 of their 17 runs in the third inning and defeating the Legacy Baseball Group 15U White, 17-0.

Cole got after it at the plate and went 3-for-3 on the afternoon, scoring three of the squad's 17 runs. In the top of the third Cole went long, sending a shot over the left field fence, scoring teammate Braeden Lipoff for a two-run homer. Prior to his home run in the third, Cole also had two more solid at-bats with a single to center, scoring Colten Springall in the second and a leadoff single to start off the game in the top of the first.

“I just try to simplify the game,” Cole said about what goes through his mind before he steps in the box. “Being a leadoff this week, I have to change my role and get on base as much as I can.”

So far this season, Cole has had incredible patience and control at the plate, especially this tournament, limiting his strikeouts to two and increasing his OBP to .846 with a batting average of .750.

During the year, the Acworth, Georgia native can be found playing baseball for the Etowah Eagles in Woodstock, Georgia.

“We had a really good team,” Cole said about the Eagles. “We had a lot of good leaders from our senior class, but I think our team bonding was the best part. We all got along and had great chemistry, so I think that led to our success.”

Although uncommitted, the 13U and 14U Select Festival player still has plenty of time to find a future home. With new NCAA recruiting rules released this spring, players are unable to have conversations with college coaches prior to August 1 of their junior year. Cole along with some of his other teammates will now have to wait until August of 2024 to start talking with coaches.

“I hope to find the school that fits best for me,” Cole said. “[Find] a coach who I can count on not just on the field, but off the field.”

Cole and the Prime continue to chip away at the WWBA National Championship and are set to face the 5 Star Tampa Gold this afternoon and then will await bracket play, as they currently sit at No.1 in their pool.
