2007 NORTHEAST TOP PROSPECT SHOWCASE

Top Prospect List

Class of 2008

1. George Springer (2008/Avon Old Farms/New Britain, CT)
: Springer threw 94 from the outfield, ran a 6.87, and centered every ball he hit.

2. Tommy Winegardner (2008/Riverdale Baptist/St Leonard, MD): Winegardner is a switch hitting shortstop, was 90 across the infield, and 89 on the mound.

3. Mike Dennhardt (2008/Don Bosco Prep/Oradell, NJ): Dennhardt was 87-91 on the mound with a sharp curve and a good change.

4. Jean Carlos Rodriguez (2008/George Washington/Bronz, NY): Rodriguez had a 1.94 pop time and he’s got bat speed, power, and leverage at the plate.

5. Brett Anderson (2008/Bristol Eastern/Bristol, CT): Anderson was 91 across the infield with good hands, the bat’s coming along.
