Previously top ranked Gulliver (FL) dropped their second contest of the year (9-6 to Doral) last week, falling to 7th. That left the door open for defending Tennessee AAA state champion Farragut to climb up to the top spot from #2, following a blowout 8-0 victory in their season opener yesterday. The Admirals are led by C Nick Delmonico and LHP Phil Pfeifer, but their roster is littered with prospects that complement the talented battery and will make them very tough to beat.

Broken Arrow (OK) climbed to number 2, after a slow but productive week. In the Tigers' tuneup for their trip to Florida they used their elite 1-2 punch of Archie Bradley and Mason Hope to combine on a no-hitter against a solid opponent, Jenks (OK). They will have a chance to prove they are for real in the Blue Devil Classic this week in Winter Haven, FL.

A pair of California teams moved up a spot each with NorCal powerhouse St. Francis (Mountain View) and early season SoCal favorite Edison (Huntington Beach) coming in a 3 and 4 after impressive performances last week.

Spanish Fork (UT) moved into the top 5 with a pair of convincing wins to open the sesaon and look to be the clear favorite to win yet another state championship in Utah (would be the third in a row for the Dons).

Baton Rouge Catholic (LA) made a big move as they continue to impress. After moving up five spots last week, the Tigers jumped another eight this week, winding up at #6 after going 4-0 on the week.

Bishop Amat (CA) has bounced back from a disappointing 0-2 start to win four straight. The Lancers made a big statement with a domiant 5-0 win over Chatsworth (CA) at USC last night. Amat began the season ranked 5th and have the talent to compete with anyone in California.

Owasso (OK) looked to be in line to move into the top 5 following a brilliant 14 K no-hitter by Dylan Bundy over Winter Haven (FL) on Friday. But the previously 6th ranked Rams followed it up with a 5-4 loss to Lake Wales (FL). While the Rams are one of the best teams in the country the biggest question mark for them is whether they can beat elite competition without Bundy on the mound. The Rams fell to 9th but it wouldn't be a surprise to see them move up as the season goes on.

Junipero Serra made a big move into the top 15 after winning the Newport Elks tournament, which included a strong field. The Lions have surpassed their lofty preseason expectations and are beginning to look like one of the best teams in California.

New additions include: 35. St. James (SC), 36. Chatsworth (CA), 38. East Coweta (GA), 44. Galveston Ball (TX), 47. Sierra Vista (NV), 48. Lamar (TX), 49. Barbe (LA).
