Head coach George Horton continues to work his magic with the Oregon Ducks. The Ducks had a week to remember, as they swept a two-game midweek set from Gonzaga before hitting the road and taking two of three from Arizona in a critical Pac-12 series. For that and much more, the Ducks were the big movers in the Perfect Game Top 50 rankings this week, vaulting from No. 13 to No. 7.
The Ducks aren't alone in that department. Cal State Fullerton and Texas A&M moved up four and three spots, respectively, while UCLA gained three spots to No. 11 after taking an important series from Purdue over the weekend. The Boilermakers, as a result, dropped from No. 7 to No. 12 following the series loss to the Bruins, while Arizona and Stanford dropped to No's 15 and 16, respectively.
Mississippi State is a team to watch down the stretch. The Bulldogs won their third-straight SEC series on the road against Alabama over the weekend and are No. 26 in our latest rankings.
Teams that dropped out of this week's rankings include Gonzaga, College of Charleston, Southern California and Auburn, while new entrants include Oklahoma State, Washington, Long Beach State and Virginia Tech at No's 41, 47, 48 and 50, respectively.
The PG Top 50 is released each Monday morning during the college baseball season.
