WWBA 17U: Dissecting Day 3

The Perfect Game WWBA 17U Championships continued in Marietta, Ga., on Sunday. And just like the previous two days of the tournament, the action was filled with excitement and there were several big-time performances.


In our quest to breakdown some of the top performances each day from the tournament, here's an inside look at some key players throughout the day who also happen to be commitments or signees with Division I programs.

Evoshield Canes 9, Dayton Dodgers 0


* Florida 2013 commitment, LHP AJ Puk, was fantastic in the dominant win over the Dodgers. He struck out 10 batters and allowed just one hit in five innings of work. Puk also threw 62 percent of his pitches for strikes. Stuff-wise, he was 86-89 with his fastball, 73-77 with the curveball and 76-80 with the changeup.
