The summer baseball circuit has shifted gears since last week's WWBA17U Championships in Marietta, Ga.
Players competed in the WWBA17U tournament with wooden bats. However, things have changed this week as several players committed to Division I programs are competing in the annual PG BCS 17U tournament in Fort Meyers, Fla., which unlike the WWBA format, uses the BBCOR bat.
Monday's action at the PG BCS17U was filled with excitement, and here's an inside look at how several commitments performed.
Marucci Elite 11, South Florida Prospects 3
* LSU 2013 commit, OF Justin Williams, had a nice day at the plate, going 1-for-3 with a home run, a run scored and three RBIs to help Marucci.
* Arkansas 2013 commit, C Jon Denney, also had a nice day at the plate, going 1-for-2 with a home run, two runs scored and an RBI.
