Our travels during college baseball season and other times of the year take us to different parts of the country, where we're always gathering information and making observations on some of the nation's elite MLB draft prospects.

As the 2013 college season continues, we take an inside look at the latest trends and reports on over 30 intriguing draft prospects, while also take an in-depth look at some of the top prospects from last weekend's Astros Foundation Classic, which included Rice, Texas A&M, top-ranked North Carolina, Houston, California and Baylor.

Without further ado, here's this week's in-depth prospect package:

Astros Foundation Classic Prospects

NORTH CAROLINA

Colin Moran, 3B, Jr: Moran certainly has been a consistent force on the national stage the past couple of seasons, joining former UNC stars Kyle Seager and Dustin Ackley as an elite MLB draft prospect. The first thing that stood out about Moran was his sheer size at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds. Moran has a presence at the plate and forces pitchers to be very careful with their pitches. Because of that, Moran drew several walks over the weekend down in Houston. He also showed good gap power with an ability to hit to all sides of the field. Moran had an error over the weekend, but has made some significant strides in that department over the past year.
