EUGENE, Ore. -- Oregon coach George Horton has a good problem on his hands.

As the Ducks continue through Pac-12 Conference play, they may not have one of the nation's premier offensive lineups just yet. But the exact opposite can be said about the UO pitching staff, which continues to tally impressive numbers, finishing a home series sweep over Arizona with an impressive 2.92 overall team earned-run average.

From hard-throwing junior right-handed pitcher Jimmie Sherfy to imposing freshman left-handed pitcher Garrett Cleavinger, the Ducks have an impressive arsenal of arms from which to work with. The only question moving forward for Horton and pitching coach Dean Stiles? Somehow, they must find a way to sort out all the arms, while solidifying some important roles.

"Yeah, we have a nice luxury with our pitching staff right now. We have some really nice choices right now moving forward," Oregon coach George Horton said. "We still have some freshmen who are a little green right now, but with the way we've recruited over the past couple of years, we really have a lot of quality arms.

"A lot of credit also goes to the job Coach [Dean] Stiles is doing with the staff. Though I call pitches, he's the guy doing all the hard work with these guys," he continued. "I'm just the guy who gets the keys to the car."
