The 2013 high school class is deep in left handed pitching prospects, and we have already profiled seven southpaws during the Perfect Game Draft Focus series this spring: Robert Kaminsky, Jonah Wesely, Ian Clarkin, A.J. Puk, Trey Ball, Matt Krook and Jacob Brentz.
Southern California’s Blake Taylor has risen quickly up scouts' lists this spring and could get drafted ahead of at least half of the lefties listed above next week. It’s been a quick climb for the 6-foot-3, 195-pound Taylor, who didn’t play high school baseball in 2012 due to transfer rules and was unknown to many scouts before pitching at the Area Code Games last August.
