PGAA Classic loaded with commits

The 2013 Perfect Game All-American Classic presented by Rawlings is just around the corner, August 11 to be exact, and the rosters of the East and West teams have plenty of collegiate flavor.

In last year’s PG All-American Classic, Nebraska incoming freshman and outfielder Ryan Boldt earned Most Valuable Player honors. The Huskers once again are well represented in this year’s event, landing two players on the West squad in Jakson Reetz and Monte’ Harrison, a very talented two-sport star commit for the Huskers.

Plenty of other powerhouse college programs will be well represented as the two teams take the field at Petco Park in San Diego on MLB Network in a couple of weeks.

North Carolina, which reached the College World Series this past summer, gets more good news as it leads the way with four commitments in the PG All-American Classic, while Florida State and Miami (Fla.) are right behind with three players each.

Ten prospects set to compete in the PG All-American Classic have yet to announce a commitment, but that could change in the coming weeks.

Fans can view the entire Selection Show.
