JUCO: Top 500 Prospects

Welcome to the 2024 JUCO Baseball season. Yesterday we put out our initial JUCO Top 50 team rankings and today we announce our Top 500 Prospects list. Year in and year out our JUCO team takes a ton of pride in providing the most comprehensive, well-researched and in-depth JUCO coverage available. But none of what we do would have the platform nor the level of borderline obsessive meticulousness without the groundwork Brian Sakowski laid in the JUCO space for the last decade. His incredible effort and relentless pursuit of PGJC excellence has made us all better as evaluators and as people. Sak, here’s your hat tip now go on and Attack Success with that Blue Devil bunch. 

The depth of this list is special where we have pitchers with loud stuff as well as tooled up position players deep into the 400s. The top end talent of this list is also of note where our staff believes we have a chance to see a large JUCO draft class this year. 



At the top of the list we have three ultra impressive arms in Drew Pestka, Gavyn Jones, and Brandon Arvidson. Tanner Reaves at Blinn is sandwiched between some more arms where he is a legit athlete, a middle defender and has advanced bat-to-ball skills. 6-foot-4 Conner Ware and his mid 90s fastball comes in at #5 and the physical Colin Linder and his high spin arsenal come in at #6. Edwin Toribio brings the power to this Top 10 after slugging 20 HRs in ‘23. South Carolina commit LHP Brandon Clarke is in at #8 with his loose, quick arm that runs it up to 96 with a legit slider. #9 Mathis Meurant comes from France as a premier shortstop with a smooth stroke from both sides of the plate. The top 10 rounds out with Justin Thomas who is a dynamic athlete with standout twitch and bat speed.
