Elev8 Baseball Shuts Down Team Elite PR

Solid pitching all afternoon from Elev8 Baseball Academy shut down the offense of Team Elite of PR limiting them to no runs and just 4 combined hits as they went on to cruise to a 5-0 victory. 

Ariel Diaz (2015, Elev8 Sports Institute, FL) led the way for the Elev8 offense finishing the day 2-4 with an RBI double and 2 runs scored. Antonio Ralat (2015, Elev8 Sports Institute, FL) also chipped in for the winning offense recording 2 RBI with a single and a run scored on the day. 

Christian Hammond (2014, Bishop Verot HS, FL) picked up the win for Elev8 going 3 innings with 3 strikeouts on just 1 hit and no runs. Hammond was around the plate the entire day throwing a lot of strikes. 

Sidney Duprey (2014, Fountain Christian HS, PR) took the loss on the mound for Team Elite of PR but didn't have a bad day. Duprey tossed 6 innings, striking out 6, while giving up just 2 earned runs in the process and displaying life on his fastball from 80-85/86 mixed with an effective curve ranging from 66-74. 

Juice top Mavericks with walk-off

The Jacksonville Juice defeated the Upstate Mavericks Scout team 6-5 thanks in part to a 3 run rally in the bottom of the 7th that included a walk-off error to give them the win.  EJ Snyder (2015, Sandalwood HS, FL) started and won the game for the Juice going all 7 innings allowing 4 earned runs and recorded 7 strikeouts.  While on the mound Snyder used a 77-81/83 mph fastball as well as a 67-73 mph curveball.  Snyder also had a nice day with the bat going 2-3 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI. 

As for the rest of the offense, Jacob Rolison (2014, Bartram Trail HS, FL) had a strong day at the plate that saw him go 2-4 with 1 run scored and Nick Kelly (2015, Mandarin HS, FL) knocked in a pair of runs on the day going 1-4.  Caleb Gay (2016, Christ's Church Academy HS, FL) also showed well going 2-3 with 1 double, 2 runs scored and 1 walk.   

For the Mavericks, South Carolina commit, Caleb Whitenton (2015, Gainesville HS, FL), went 2-3 with 1 double, 1 run scored, 1 RBI and 1 walk to help lead their offense.  Leadoff man, a Duke commit, Christopher Proctor (2015, Burns HS, NC), hit a double and Jacob Childress (2015, Ninety Six HS, SC) smacked a triple, and both were able to score 1 run. 

Aplin K's 9 as Upperclass advance

The Next Level Upperclass defeated the Florida Burn 18u Navy 2-0 to advance to the second round of the playoffs.  Rhett Aplin (2014, Fleming Island HS, FL) tossed a dominating start for the Upperclass going 6 shutout innings allowing just 2 hits and 4 walks, while striking out 9 batters.  Aplin changed speeds and kept hitters off balance using a 76-80/81 mph fastball with armside run to go with a 63-69/70 mph curveball and a 70-74 mph changeup. 

For the Upperclass' offense, Florida commit, Blake Reese (2015, Lincoln HS, FL), went 2-3 knocking in both of the teams' runs.  Wesley Weeks (2014, Clay HS, FL) added in a 2-3 day with 1 double and Jay Robinson (2014, Florida State University School, FL) used an aggressive approach and good bat speed to go 2-3 with 1 double. 

For the Burn, John Graves (2015, Braden River HS, FL) and Casey Smith (2015, Lake Mary Preparatory HS, FL) each went 1-2 with a single. 

Gainsville Naturals beat Reyes Baseball 7-3

The Gainsville Naturals were solid in every facet of the game against Reyes Baseball in their 7-3 victory. On the mound, Johnny Ledew (2015, Suwannee, FL) set the tone for the Naturals. Ledew tossed 6.1innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks. He kept the hitters off balanced and recorded five strikeouts. 

At the plate, Hunter Cribbs (2014, Pedro Menendez, FL) led the offense. Cribbs, a Trinity Baptist College commit, was the only player in the game to have multiple hits, as he batted 2-3 with a walk, two runs scored, a double, and a run batted in. David Hall (2014, Bradford, FL) and Chad Lowe (2013, Palatka, FL) also had good games at the plate. Hall, also a Trinity Baptist commit, and Lowe both contributed a double and two runs batted in for the Naturals. 

Gay, Juice Blank the Padres 5-0

The Jacksonville Juice received a tremendous performance from right-handed starting pitcher Caleb Gay. Gay (2016, Christ's Church Academy, FL) tossed a complete game shutout against the East Cobb Padres. Gay held the Padres to five hits and he only allowed one free pass. He was able to notch five strikeouts using a good balance of fastballs, breaking balls, and change-ups. 

At the plate, no Jacksonville player had multiple hits in the game, but eight different hitters in the lineup recorded one. Gay helped his own cause with an RbI double. Andrew Catone and Jacob Rolison led the offensive attack for the Juice in the 1-2 spots in the lineup. Catone (2014, Stanton College Prep, FL) and Rolison (2014, Bartram Trail, FL) both recorded a single and had two runs batted in. Rolison added a run scored. 

For the Padres, Chris Turner (2015, River Ridge, GA) was the only player in the ball game to record multiple hits. Turner singled twice. 

Powermill edges Team Alabama behind Hall

Powermill's Pitcher, MT Minacci (2013, North Florida Christian, FL), threw for all  7 innings tallying up 4 strike outs with a velocity topping out at 92 MPH and allowing only two runs. North West Florida State Commit, Ross Goforth (2014, Colquitt County, FL) who went 1 for 3 with one RBI,  hits a vital double late in the sixth to break away from Team Alabama. Peyton Johnson (2014, Thompson, AL) of Team Alabama had a praise worthy performance, pitching for 5.5 innings with 5 strike outs and velocity topping out at 89 MPH. 

Score International rides 8-run 3rd inning to win

Score International was able to top Team Elite of PR with a huge third inning. The Score International offense exploded with an 8-run third inning, which was capped by a 3-run homer by Furman commit Michael Campoamor (2014, Wiregrass Ranch, FL).

Matthew Meyer, Rafael Melo, and Anthony Romer helped pace the Score offense, along with Campoamor. Meyer (2014, Bayside, FL), who is a Campbell commit, had a walk, two singles, and an RBI in the first inning. Melo (2015, Faith Baptist Christian, FL) contributed a run scored, a single, and two runs batted in. Romer (2015, Faith Baptist Christian, FL) added a double, two runs batted in, a walk, and a run scored. 

On the mound for Score International, Arthur Rolle (2015, Faith Baptist Christian, FL) was a little erratic, but he showed great stuff. Rolle has a fastball that sits around 85-89, but it topped out at 90 in the ball game. Rolle was able to strikeout a tremendous 12 hitters in only five innings of work. 

Jacksonville Warriors win pitcher's duel 1-0

The Jacksonville Warriors 18U and Team Bownet Tampa Bay Warriors had a pitcher's duel, as both starters lasted at least six innings and gave up only seven hits altogether. Chris Jordan (2014, East Lake, FL) tossed six innings for Team Bownet. Jordan, a Florida Tech commit, allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk. He also had four strikeouts in the ball game. 

The Jacksonville starter, Garrett Delano, was one out away from recording a complete game shutout. Delano (2016, West Nassau County, FL) only allowed three hits and walked two batters. He used a good FB/CB mix and he recorded five strikeouts. 

Jordan Stacy (2014, Episcopal, FL) recorded the only RBI in the ball game, as he singled to centerfield in the first inning. 

Atlanta Blue Jays Blank Hunter Pence Baseball 7-0

The Atlanta Blue Jays were able to leave the Hunter Pence Baseball Academy scoreless in very defensive-centered ball game. The Blue Jays were led by a strong pitching performance by Erikson Lanning (2015, Sequoyah, GA). He tossed a complete game shutout, as he only allowed five hits and one walk. Lanning possesses a strong fastball that sits 83-86 (topped out at 87) and he used the pitch to record eight strikeouts. 

The Blue Jays only mustered four hits in the ball game, but they were well-timed and had some muscle behind them. Myles Moran (2015, American Heritage, FL) had a big 2-run double in the top of the 5th. Also, Darius Sewell (2015, Lakeside, GA) recorded a triple. 

East Cobb Astros comeback against Scorpions 4-1

The East Cobb Astros 18U only managed three hits in the ball game, but they were able to manage a comeback and play solid defense.

Pitching was tremendous by both teams. Boston's starter Brendan Shea (2014, Belmont, MA) had a good game on the mound. Shea, a Massachusetts at Lowell commit, tossed four innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on two hits and five walks. Shea possesses a solid three pitch mix (FB, CB, CH), while his fastball sat around 83-86 and topping out at 87. He utilized all three of his pitches to notch seven strikeouts. 

For the Astros, starting pitcher Brooks Buckler (2015, Norcross, GA) threw a complete game. Buckler allowed only one earned run on eight hits and one walk. Buckler had five strikeouts, mostly using a two pitch mix (FB, CB) with a fastball that topped out at 87 as well. 

The Scorpions' Charlie McConnell (2015, Belmont Hill, MA) and the Astros' Griffin Helms (2014, Norcross, GA) were the only players in the ball game to have multiple hits. McConnell, a Northeastern commit, batted 2-3 with a double and a run scored. Kennesaw State commit Helms went 2-3 with two singles. 

Elev8 Defeats Bullets Baseball 4 to 0

Jose Vidro (2014, Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy, PR) played a vital role in the win over Bullet Baseball, going 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's and 1 home run. Also batting for Elv8, Luis Diaz-Santa(2105,Elev8 Sport Insitute, PR) went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI. Nick Vespi (2014, Santaluces Community, FL), Pitching for Elev8, pitched for all 7 innings allowing 0 Runs and 9 Strike outs and topping out at 85 MPH. Bullets Baseballs Christopher Chatfield (2015, Spoto, Fl) went 2 for 3 at bat. 

Midwest Elite Beat Gainsville Naturals 6-3

Midwest Elite managed six runs on nine hits to top the Gainsville Naturals. Jordyn Muffley, Connor Smith, and Randy Righter charged the Elite offense. Muffley (2015, Portage Central, MI) provided quality at-bats in the leadoff spot, as he batted 2-3 with a single, a home run, a run scored, and two runs batted in. Western Michigan commit Smith (2015, H.H. Dow, MI) added two singles, while Righter (2014, Brother Rice, MI) contributed two doubles, a run scored, and two runs batted in. 

The Gainsville Naturals received a good start from RHP Jackson Reddish (2014, Baker, FL). Reddish tossed four innings, only allowing four hits and one walk, while surrendering two runs (one earned). Reddish flashed a solid four-pitch mix with a fastball that topped out at 83. He also had two strikeouts.  

Lakeland Legends beat Naples Naturals 7to 6

Brandon Howlett (2018, George W. Jenkins, FL) Powers Lakeland Legends over Naples Naturals with a home run in the top of the 5th. Baylee Waters and Garret Oliver both had notable performances. Waters (2015, Lake Gibson Senior, FL) went 2 for 4, with 3 RBI's. Oliver (2016, Tenoroc, FL) went 2 for 3, with 1 RBI. Sey Juan Lawrence (2016, King, FL) batted well from the bottom of the line up going 3 for 3. For the Naturals, Garret Asline (2014, Naples, FL) went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's, Brett Scafidi (2104, Naples, FL) went 1 for 3 with 1 RBI.

Midwest Elite Baseaball take out Next Level Upperclass with help from Randy Righter (Brother Rice, Bloomfield Hills, MI 2014), 5-2. Righter collected three hits with single in the first and third innings and doubled in the seventh inning. Jose Ciccarello (Alonso, Tampa, FL 2017) was the hot hitter for Next Level Upperclass. He went 1-2 for the game with scoring one run and had one RBI.

Righter recorded the win for Midwest Elite Baseball. He allowed two runs over two runs over 5 1/3 innings with striking out three, walked one and gave up five hits. Matthew Sellers (Vero Beach, Vero Beach, FL 2015, South Florida) couldn't get it done on the mound for Next Level Upperclass with getting the loss. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed three runs. Righter fastball range for the game was 82-85 mph. Sellers fastball range for the game was 87-91 mph.

Next Level Upperclass tops East Cobb Astros 18U in back-and-forth affair, 4-3. Jared Padgett (Graceville, Graceville, FL 2015, Mississippi State) helped the Next Level Upperclass at the plate. He went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. Alonzo Jones (Columbus, Columbus, GA 2015, Vanderbilt) racked up three RBIs on two hits for the East Cobb Astros 18U. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Tyler Holton (Lincoln, Tallahassee, FL 2015, FSU) was a workhorse on the mound today while getting the victory for Next Level Upperclass. He pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, seven hits and one walk while striking out five. Cody Roberts (Blessed Trinity Cath, Johns Creek, GA 2015) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two and allowed one run. Roberts fastball range for the game was 87-90 mph. Holton fastball range for the game was 84-88 mph.

Midwest Elite Baseball beats Powermill 18U 8-3. Randy Righter (Brother Rice, Bloomfield Hills, MI 2014) had four RBIs as his team took home the victory. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the fourth and seventh innings. Tyler Beal (Lawton Chilles, Tallahassee, FL 2014, St. John River CC) was the hot hitter for Powermill 18U. He went 1-3 for the game with scoring one run.

Tanner Allison (Portland, Portland, MI 2014, Western Michigan) got it done on the mound on his way to a victory. He allowed three runs over 4 1/3 innings with striking out four, walked three and gave up six hits. Tyson Albert was charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked one and struck out none. Allison fastball range for the game was 87-90 mph. Albert fastball range for the game was 83-87 mph.

East Cobb Astros 18U wins in Quarterfinal.

Fourth-inning rally sparks blowout win for the East Cobb Astros 18U, 9-0. The East Cobb Astros 18U were led by a flawless day at the dish by Chase Smartt (Charles Henderson, Troy, AL 2015, Troy), who went 2-2 for the game. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fourth inning.

The East Cobb Astros 18U's Nick Bush (Lee County, Leesburg, GA 2015) kept SCORE International 18U off the scoreboard for all five innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on five hits while ringing up four. Mathew Meyer (Bayside, Palm Bay, FL 2014, Campbell) took the loss for SCORE International 18U. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked two and struck out four. Bush fastball range for the game was 85-88 mph. Meyer fastball range for the game was 84-87 mph.

Powermill 18U jumps on Lakeland Legends of the Batters Box 17U early and coasts to 9-0 win. Graham Hartfields (Lincoln, Tallahassee, FL 2014) racked up two RBIs on two hits for Powermill 18U. Trevin Pruitt (George W. Jenkins, Lakeland, FL 2016) was the hot hitter for the Lakeland Legends of the Batters Box 17U. Powermill 18U as a offense today had nine runs scored and had ten hits.

Lakeland Legends of the Batters Box 17U had no answer for Thomas Nicoll (Leon, Tallahassee, FL 2014, Tallahassee CC), who kept runners off the bases. He held Lakeland Legends of the Batters Box 17U hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out one. William Keith (George W. Jenkins, Lakeland, FL 2015) lasted 1 2/3 innings on the bump for Lakeland Legends of the Batters Box 17U before getting the call to the bullpen. He allowed six hits and seven runs. Midwest Elite Baseball Scores First, Advances

Midwest Elite Baseball scored the first two runs of the game, and held on for a 3-2 victory over Jacksonville Warriors 18U to advance to the semifinals on Friday.

The three Midwest Elite runs were driven in by Georgetown signee Sammy Stevens (2014, Brother Rice HS, MI), Western Michigan commit Tanner Allison (2014, Portland HS, MI), and Ross Heiman (2014, Lakeland HS, MI). Heiman, Randy Righter (2014, Brother Rice HS, MI), and Cochise College signee Jackson Overlund (2014, East Grand Rapids HS, MI) each recorded two hits, including a double for Righter, in the victory.

Michigan State commit Collin Goslin (2015, Divine Child HS, MI) tossed six innings, picking up the win with one earned run allowed and five strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 89 mph.

Cristian Jones (2014, Eagles View Academy, FL) drove in one run for the Warriors, while Cody Boswell (2014, The Bolles School, FL) and Dalton Delano (2014, West Nassau County HS, FL) scored one run each. Garrett Delano (2016, West Nassau County HS, FL) led the team in hitting with a pair of singles.

Next Level Upperclass Walks Off to Semifinals

Jose Ciccarello (2017, Alonso HS, FL) clubbed a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth, and Next Level Upperclass walked off to the semifinals with a 4-3 victory over Elev8 Baseball Academy on Friday.

Seminole CC signee Rhett Aplin (2014, Fleming Island HS, FL) drove in the other two runs for Next Level, and Florida State commit Tyler Holton (2015, Lincoln HS, FL) led the team with two runs scored. Aplin and South Alabama commit Jared Barnes (2014, North Florida Christian School, FL) each added a run scored, and Aplin also led the team with three hits, all singles, in the win.

South Florida commit Matthew Sellers (2015, Vero Beach HS, FL) pitched the final two innings for Next Level, and struck out five of the seven hitters he faced. His fastball topped out at 93 mph in his win.

Antonio Ralat (2015, Elev8 Sports Institute, FL) and Webber International commit Kyle Luongo (2015, Elev8 Sports Institute, FL) each drove in one run for Elev8, and the team’s three runs were scored by Ariel Diaz (2015, Elev8 Sports Institute, FL), Jose Vidro (2014, Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy, PR), and Alex Vazquez (2016, Elev8 Sports Institute, FL.)

Nelson Baseball School Rolls to 9-1 Victory

Nelson Baseball School scored in each of the final four innings to claim a 9-1 victory over JMBC Sentinels at Terry Park on Thursday.

Caleb Shelton (2014, Etowah HS, GA) and Chase Sudduth (2015, McEachern HS, GA) drove in two runs with two hits for Nelson Baseball School. Bryan Quillens (2014, Pebblebrook HS, GA), Alex Darwiche (2014, Kennesaw Mountain HS, GA), and Marion Hines (2014, South Cobb HS, GA) led the team with two runs scored in the victory.

Shelton was the winning pitcher for Nelson, tossing two perfect innings with two strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 83 mph.

The lone Sentinels run was scored by Eric Correa (2015, Springstead HS, FL), and Jack Burke (2015, River Ridge HS, FL) recorded both of the team’s hits.

Midwest Elite offense too much in 11-2 W

The Midwest Elite Baseball offense was too much, as they went on to the easy victory, defeating Team Alabama, 11-2.

Leadoff hitter Jordyn Muffley (2015, Portage Central HS, MI) led the way, going 2-2 with a homerun, single, two runs, and two RBIs.  Ryan Mergener (2014, Portage Central HS, MI) went 2-3 with a triple, double, three runs, and two RBIs in the game.  Randy Righter (2014, Brother Rice HS, MI) went 3-4 with a double, two singles, one run and two RBIs.  Jackson Overlund (2014, East Grand Rapids HS, MI) went 2-3 with a double as well, single, one run and two RBIs.

Karl Kauffman (2016, Brother Rice HS, MI) pitched a complete game, giving up one earned run on four hits, and struck out seven in five complete innings of work.  He had a good, balanced delivery, and threw strikes with a fastball that averaged 87-89 mph and topped out at 90 mph.

For Team Alabama, Ethan Thomas (2016, James Clemens HS, AL) went 1-2 with a single, and two RBIs.


East Cobb Astros Win 1-0 in Rubber Match

The East Cobb Astros 18U edged out Orlando Baseball Academy 2014 in a close 1-0 game. East Cobb scored their run in the bottom of the fifth inning.

For the East Cobb Astros, Georgia State commit Logan Barnette (2014, Walton, GA) went the distance and threw seven scoreless innings. His fastball sat 76-82 mph and peaked at 83 mph. He gave up four hits, allowed two walks, and struck out four hitters. He threw almost 75% of his pitches for strikes. Cody Roberts (2015, Blessed Trinity Cath, GA) smashed an RBI double in the fifth. Georgia Tech recruit Kel Johnson (2014, Homeschool, GA) hit a double and scored the only run for East Cobb.

Hunter Rotarius (2015, Apopka, FL) topped out at 82 mph in his six inning outing for Orlando Baseball. He surrendered one run on three hits and one walk. He recorded four strikeouts. Jordan Hicks (2014, Apopka, FL) smacked a double and Lipscomb commit Tevin Symonette (2014, Christian Home And Bible School, FL) ripped a triple in Orlando Baseball Academy's loss.

Powermill 18U 11-5 Winners

Powermill 18U defeated the Gameface Elite 17U team by a score of 11-5. Powermill scored in four of their six offensive innings.

For Powermill, Northwest Florida State College commit Ross Goforth (2014, Colquitt County, GA) went 2 for 4 with a big homerun, five runs batted in, and a run scored. Another Northwest Florida State College commit Mack Hathcock (2014, Colquitt County, GA) went a perfect 3 for 3 with a double, a run batted in, and three runs scored. St. Johns River CC recruit Tyler Beal (2014, Lawton Chiles, FL) doubled and scored two runs. Lawson State CC recruit Dallas Oliver (2014, Chipley, FL) contributed with his three runs batted in. Payton Dixon (2014, Thomasville, GA) gave up three hits and one walk in his three scoreless innings. He struck out five hitters. Tristin Frazier (2015, Colquitt County, GA) could only record two outs, but his fastball topped out at 82 mph.

For Gameface Elite, Paulo Delossantos (2015, Dacula, GA) and Patrick Klein (2015, Bethlehem Christian Academy, GA) both had a two-hit day. Chase Hunter (2015, Buford, GA) hit an RBI double. Luis Vilchez (2015, Mountain View, GA) doubled, scored a run, and drove in two runs. Luke Allen (2015, Bethlehem Christian Academy, GA) singled, doubled, and scored two runs.

Lakeland Blanks West GA Jackets 5-0

Lakeland Legends of the Batters Box 17U blanked the West GA Jackets 5-0. Lakeland finished strong by putting up two runs in the sixth and two runs in the seventh.

Winning pitcher Matt Wight (2015, Lake Gibson Senior, FL) gave up just three hits and one walk in his 6.2 shutout innings. He threw 63% of his pitches for strikes and recorded 11 strikeouts. Trevin Pruitt (2016, George W. Jenkins, FL) hit a two-run shot in the sixth to power Lakeland to victory. Alex Mathers (2015, Kathleen Senior, FL) doubled, scored a run, and added an RBI. Nick Leonard (2015, George W. Jenkins, FL) doubled and scored a run.

Jonathan Mitchell (2015, New Manchester, GA) got on-base twice by way of a walk and a single for the West GA Jackets.

Bats Contagious in Tampa Bay Warriors Win

NJ Tigers couldn't hold off the Team Bownet Tampa Bay Warriors 18U bats as the Warriors won big 17-0.

Lane Stancil (2014, Pasco, FL) singled twice and scored two runs. Aaron Coates and Napo Ballestero (2013, Alonso, FL) singled, scored two runs, and added an RBI. Riveria went 2 for 3 with a double, a run scored, and two runs batted in. Drury went 2 for 2 with a triple, two runs scored, and five runs batted in.

Lobos Baseball 18U took down Upstate Mavericks Scout Team 7-4. Lobos Baseball scored in five of their seven offensive innings.

Mario Hernandez (2015, Antonian College Prep, TX) singled three times and scored three times in the win. Connor Hamilton (2015, Cedar Creek, TX) enjoyed a solid two-hit game. Eric Aldaco (2015, Boerne - Samuel V Champion, TX) tripled, scored a run, and added two RBIs. Shane Fodness (2015, New Braunfels, TX) went 2 for 3 with a double, a run scored, and drove in a run. Fodness pitched a scoreless inning and his fastball ranged from 76-80 mph. Kevin Green (2015, Reagan, TX) earned the win and gave up four runs over his five innings. He topped out at 80 mph and struck out four hitters. He threw 64% of his pitches for strikes.

Billy McCay (2015, Plant City, FL) surrendered just three hits and two walks in his five inning outing. His fastball sat 74-80 mph, topped out at 82 mph, and he struck out six hitters. South Florida commit Christopher Chatfield (2015, Spoto, FL) went 2 for 3 with a homerun, scored two runs, and added an RBI. New Orleans commit Jay Robinson (2014, Florida State University Sschool, FL) led the Upperclass offense by going 2-4 with a double. Andrew Williamson (2015, Trinity Christian Academy, FL) also had a nice day at the plate going 1-2 with a double and an RBI. 

Christian Francoeur (2017, St. Johns Prep, MA) was a bright spot in the Legends lineup as he went 2-2 with an RBI and a walk.

The East Cobb Padres 18U team and the Gainesville Naturals 18U team tied 4-4. The Naturals put up two runs in the bottom of the seventh to force the tie.

East Cobb Padres starter Caleb Jamenson picked up the win as he through seven complete innings. He gave up four runs--two earned--on five hits and six walks. He recorded four strikeouts. Connor Caldwell (2016, Sequoyah, GA) singled twice and scored a run. Chris Turner (2015, River Ridge, GA) enoyed a nice two-hit game. Colin Bearden (2015, Adairsville, GA) doubled, scored a run, and added two RBIs.

Naturals pitcher and Trinity Baptist College recruit Hunter Cribbs (2014, Pedro Menendez, FL) threw 3.2 scoreless innings and only gave up one hit. He threw almost 65% of his pitches for strikes. Cribbs singled and scored a run offensively. Another Trinity Baptist College recruit Kameron Butler (2014, Trinity Catholic, FL) smacked a two-run double. Kevin Pinder (2013, F. W. Buchholz, FL) scored two runs in the win.

Christian Reyes (2015, Puerto Rico Baseball Academy/HS, PR), Brian Otero (2015, Colegio Cristiano Maranatha, PR), and Jean Carlos Rosario Terrell (2015, Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy, PR) all singled and scored two runs.

Winning pitcher and UNOH recruit Andres Medina (2014, Thomas Alva Edison, PR) topped out at 85 mph in his five innings of work. He gave six runs--two earned--on eight hits and three walks. He had three strikeouts.

Fifth Inning Surge Leads Naples Naturals 18U

Naples Naturals 18U scored seven runs in the bottom of the fifth, breaking a 1-1 tie to claim an 8-1 victory over Hunter Pence Baseball 18U in Fort Myers on Thursday.

Robert DiMartin (2015, Naples HS, FL) and Jonathan Scott (2015, Community School of Naples, FL) each drove in two runs for the Naturals, while Grant Asline (2014, Naples HS, FL), Joseph Maestu (2016, Palmetto Ridge HS, FL), and Jack Smith (2015, Community School of Naples, FL) each recorded one run batted in. Kyle Fisher (2015, Naples HS, FL) added three hits and two runs scored, and Smith supplied a pair of singles.

Fisher picked up the win with 4.2 innings on the mound, allowing one run on four hits. His fastball topped out at 80 mph.

The sole Hunter Pence run was supplied on a home run by Marcos Martinez (2015, Dobie HS, TX). Robert Petitto (2014, Cypress Woods HS, TX) also added a double in the losing effort for Hunter Pence Baseball.

Prostyle Baseball Scores 4 in Final Inning, Wins

Prostyle Baseball Academy broke a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the sixth and final inning, and claimed an 8-4 victory over West GA Jackets on Thursday in Fort Myers.

Ryan Dinka (2015, Venice HS, FL) drilled a two-run home run in the sixth inning, ending his game with four runs batted in, two hits, and two runs scored. Daniel Korchick (2015, Ida Baker HS, FL) added two runs batted in, while Garrett Martin (2015, North Fort Myers HS, FL) and Zavier Bravo (2015, Oasis Charter HS, FL) each drove in one run. Dinka and Bravo led the team with two hits each, while Chase O’Neil (2015, North Port HS, FL) and Calvin Hough (2015, North Port HS, FL) each scored a pair of runs.

Korchick earned the victory on the mound for tossing the sixth inning. He allowed one hit, and his fastball topped out at 75 mph.

Florida Burn 18U Navy scored all six of its runs in the top of the third inning, and claimed a 6-1 victory over Suncoast Mizuno in Fort Myers on Thursday.

Brett McCabe (2014, Riverview HS, FL) led the offensive efforts of the Burn, driving in two runs with a single. Shane Rocklein (2015, Manatee HS, FL), Casey Smith (2015, Lake Mary Preparatory School, FL), and Chas Emery (2014, Rockledge HS, FL) each drove in one run, and Jacob Rivers (2016, Sickles HS, FL) led the team with a pair of singles and a run scored in the win.

Albert Neff (2014, Pine Ridge HS, FL) tossed a six inning complete game, allowing one run on three hits with seven strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 86 mph.

National Tournament Baseball defeated the Legends Showcase 17U, 6-2.

Leadoff hitter Turner Acosta (2014, Troy HS, CA) went 2-3 with a double, single, one run and two RBIs.  Daniel Tuerffs (2014, Yorba Linda HS, CA) went 1-3 with a single, and two RBIs.  Chad Morris (2015, Yorba Linda HS, CA) also went 1-3 with a double, one run and one RBI.

Nick Vega (2013, Yorba Linda HS, CA) pitched a complete game, giving up one earned run on six hits, and struck out seven, in seven complete innings of work.  He had a fastball that averaged 81-84 mph and topped out at 85 mph, while mixing in a handful of off-speed pitches.

Jacksonville Warriors 18U Surges Late to Win

Jacksonville Warriors 18U scored four runs in the fourth inning to take their first lead, and went on to claim a 7-5 victory over Alabama Bluesox on Thursday.

Santa Fe CC signee Matt Allen (2014, Creekside HS, FL) and Dalton Delano (2014, West Nassau County HS, FL) each drove in two runs to lead the run production for the Warriors, while Allen added a home run. Garrett Delano (2016, West Nassau County HS, FL) and Wyatt Petrey (2014, Stanton College Preparatory HS, FL) each added one run batted in, and Petrey led the team with a pair of hits in the win.

Paul Akra (2014, Providence School, FL) allowed two runs over five innings, and picked up the win for the Warriors. He struck out seven hitters, and his fastball topped out at 82 mph.

Nelson Baseball Holds Off Alabama Bluesox

Nelson Baseball School defeats Alabama Bluesox 4-3 thanks to a three run third inning. Kennesaw State commit William Campbell (2014, Etowah, GA) led the offense by going 1-3 with an RBI and a run scored. It was a well pitched game by Savannah State commit, Zach Chandler (2014, Kennesaw Mountain, GA), who picked up the win for Nelson Baseball. He went seven innings allowing three earned runs on six hits, while striking out nine batters. His fastball topped out at 86 mph. 

Miles Masters (2015, White Plains, AL) picked up the loss, but he gave a great effort going six innings giving up only three earned runs. 

The Bluesox found their offense from Dax Winningham (2014, Oxford, AL) who went 2-3 with two RBI.

Ross Goforth (2014, Colquitt County HS, GA) went 2-3 two singles, and three RBIs.  Tyler Beal (2014, Lawton Chiles HS, GA) went 1-2 with a single, two runs and one RBI in the game.

Tyson Albert pitched five innings of work, giving up most of the damage, but showed a good fastball that topped out at 87 mph.  Morgan Shuler (2014, North Florida Christian, FL) also made an appearance on the mound, and had a fastball that peaked at 86 mph.

For MPi, Brendan Auerbacher went 1-2 with a homerun, one run and three RBIs.  Anthony Valdes (2015, Coral Gables Senior, FL) went 2-3 with a double, single, and one run scored.  Chris Ayala (2014, Undecided, FL) also went 2-3 with a double, single and one run as well.

The Jacksonville Warriors 18u shutout JMBC Sentinels 4-0 on Wednesday behind the arm of Dalton Delano (2014, West Nassau County, FL). Delano went all seven innings allowing no runs on just two hits. He also managed to strikeout seven batters with his fastball that sat 80-82/83.

The warriors offense was led by Santa Fe CC commit Matt Allen (2014, Creekside, FL) and FSCA commit Cameron Blaquiere (2014, The Bolles, FL). Both players were able to record a two hit ball game. Allen went 2-3 with an RBI, and Blaquiere was 2-2 with a double and a run scored.

West GA Jackets falls 10-4 at the hands of Boston Scorpions Baseball Club. Jermiah Adams (Tabor Academy, Mattapoisett, MA 2016) went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for Boston Scorpions Baseball Club. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the fifth innings. Kevin Johnson (Hillgrove, Marietta, GA 2016) was the hot hitter for West GA Jackets. He went 2-2 for the game with scoring two runs and had one RBI.

Jeffrey Costello (Lexington, Lexington, MA 2016) recorded the win for Boston Scorpions Baseball Club. He allowed four runs over three innings, struck out two, walked one and surrendered five hits. Stephen Abernathy (Hillgrove, Marietta, GA 2014, Paine) was charged with the loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out none, and allowed five runs. Costello fastball range for the game was 77-81 mph.

Lakeland Legends of the Batter Box 17U takes early lead in 7-4 win over Prostyle Baseball Academy. Trevor Wren was the hot hitter Prostyle Baseball. He went 1-2 for the game and had two RBIs. Christopher Lansaw (George W. Jenkins, Lakelend, FL 2016) was the hot hitter for Lakeland Legends of the Batter Box 17U. He went 1-3 for the game with scoring one run and had one RBI.

Alex Mathers (Kathleen Senior, Lakeland, FL 2015) got it done on the bump on his way to a win. He allowed four runs over five innings, struck out three, walked none and gave up six hits. Josh Feliciano ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision with getting the loss. He allowed six runs in one inning, walked five and struck out two.

Naples Naturals 18U wins.

Naples Naturals 18U offense too much for BPA Orange 18U in 14-5 rout. Zino racked up five RBIs on three hits for Naples Naturals 18U. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third and fourth innings. Naples Naturals 18U easily handled BPA Orange 18U pitching as seven hitters combined for fifteen hits, twelve RBIs and thirteen runs scored.

Zino allowed five in four, but the bullpen gave up no runs and the offense banged out sixteen to pick up the slack and secure the win. Jimmy Quinn (Lake Howell, Winter Park, FL 2015) lasted two innings on the mound for the BPA Orange 18U before being removed. He allowed eight hits and seven runs. Quinn fastball range for the game was 80-84 mph. Zino fastball range for the game was 82-86 mph.

The SCORE International 18U defeated the Upstate Mavericks Scout Team 9-3 in five innings. 

SCORE only mustered two hits in the whole game. Anthony Romer (2015, Brandon, FL) connected with a RBI single, and Jonathan Ottenwalder (2015, Brandon, FL) roped a double for his team. The team as a whole walked nine times and struck out four times.

The State College Florida, Ronny Orta (2014, Brandon, FL), led the pitching duties for his team. He scattered six hits with two earned runs. He walked four batters and struck out ten on his 91 mph fastball.

Prostyle Baseball Academy defeated the Boston Scorpions Baseball Club by a score of 7-4.  Prostyle finished with seven hits in the contest.  Ryan Dinka (2015, Venice, FL) went 2-3 with one RBI and Chase O'Neil (2015, North Port, FL) went 1-2 with two RBIs.  Lukas Post (2015, North Fort Myers, FL), Daniel Korchick (2015, Cape Coral, FL), and Wesley Wilkinson (2015, Punta Gorda, FL) all finished with RBIs. 

Jeremiah Adams (2016, Mattapoisett, MA) went 1-2 with two RBIs for the Scorpions.  Adam's hit was a home run that cleared the left field fence.  McNamara and Kyle Boudrias (2015, Medford, MA) both had two hits.  

Early Lead Helps Naturals to Two Run Shutout

The Gainesville Naturals 18U defeated the Jacksonville Juice 2-0 in seven innings.

Wyatt Nolan (2014, South Dayton, FL) led the surge for the Naturals with his complete game of pitching dominance. He went seven innings with 91 pitches. He scattered three hits without a run to score. He walked two while striking out six on his 74 mph fastball.

Johnny Ledew (2015, Live Oak, FL) was the only offense for Gainesville with a pair of doubles while plating one RBI.

Ryan Knowles (2015, Jacksonville, FL), Nick Kelly (2015, Jacksonville, FL), and Cameron Wilson (2015, Mcclenny, FL) each connected with a single for the Juice. 

Knowles also tossed the complete game for his team. he let just two hits fall with just one run to score. He walked seven while striking out 13 on his 87 mph fastball.

The Atlanta Blue Jays defeated the Legends Showcase 17U 9-1 in five innings.

Justin Neo (2015, Pembroke Pines, FL) led the surge for the Blue Jays with a pair of singles with a pair of RBIs and a run. Dayton Dugas (2015, Lake Charles, LA) helped out with a two RBI double while touching home twice. Kep Brown (2015) connected with a triple while scoring once. Darius Sewell (2015, Decatur, GA) helped out with two singles with a run. Lorenzo Hampton (2015, Miami Lakes, FL) joined in with a two RBI single for his team. Myles Moran (2015, Davie, FL) roped a RBI single while later scoring. 

Peter Diaz (2016, Miami Lakes, FL) went the complete game with five innings. He let just two hits fall without an earned run to score. He walked one and struck out two on his 83 mph fastball.

The GBSA Cardinals defeated the Florida Burn 18U Navy 6-2 in seven innings.

Isaac Nieves (2015, Jacksonville, FL) led the Cardinals with a two RBI triple and later scored to lead his team. Joseph Holmes (2013, Stone Mountain, GA) connected with a pair of singles while scoring twice. Deion Sellers (2014, Ellenwood, GA) helped out with a two RBI double in the game.

Shaquille Hickson (2016, Atlanta, GA) led the GBSA with 6.1 innings whiling tossing 97 pitches. He scattered seven hits with just one earned run. He walked three and struck out one.

John Graves (2015, Bradenton, FL) led the Burn with a pair base knocks. Chas Emery (2014, Rockledge, FL) and Logan Keedy (2015, Valrico, FL) helped with a RBI, and Shane Rocklein (2015, Bradenton, FL) contributed a single and a run. 

Jacob Hood (2015, Lithia, FL) tossed the best for Florida with two innings. He scattered three hits without a run to score. He did not walk a batter and struck out one on his 77 mph fastball. 

Team Alabama Rallies

Team Alabama rallied past Ultimate Baseball by a score of 5-4.  Sam Praytor (2017, Helena, AL) went 2-3 for the victors.  Praytor now has eight total hits on the tournament and improved his batting average to .571.  Ethan Thomas (2016, Madison, AL) went 2-2 with a RBI and Payton Young (2016, Centre, AL) went 1-3 with two RBIs.  

Tyler Bench (2014, Palmetto, FL) tossed 4.0 innings for Ultimate Baseball. Bench allowed just two walks and struck out two.  He showed a good fastball that hit the gun at 84 mph.  

Orioles fall to MW Elite

The O-City Orioles 18U fell to the Midwest Elite Wednesday by a score of 9-1.  Iowa Western CC commit Alex Sova (2014, Midland, MI) threw the complete game for the Elite. Sova finished with five K's, four hits, and two walks.  His fastball sat at 81-83 mph and touched 86 mph.  He has good command with his pitches and works sharp downhill. 

Ryan Mergener (2014, Portage, MI) went 1-3 with three RBIs for the victors.  Jordan Muffley (2015, Portage, MI), Jackson Overlund (2014, Ada, MI), and Freddy Jehle (2014, Troy, MI) all had two hits. 

Jonny Austing (2015, Winter Park, FL) went 2-3 with a RBI for the Orioles.

The GBSA Cardinals got past Suncoast Mizuno by a score of 9-1. Isaac Nieves (2014, Jacksonville, FL) continued his hot streak from the plate.  Nieves was a single shy of hitting for the cycle, as he recorded a grand slam, a triple, and a double. The Pensacola State commit now has eight hits on the tournament and improved his batting average to .667.  EJ Ranel (2015, Dacula, GA) and Deion Sellers (2014, Ellenwood, GA) also had three hits for the Cards. 

Malik Jones (2014, Atlanta, GA) picked up the win for the Cardinals.  Jones went 6.0 innings and allowed no walks and struck out five.  His fastball sat at 84-85 mph and touched 87 mph.  

Daren Ortiz (2015, Bradenton, FL) went 2-2 for Suncoast Mizuno.  

Burn Edge Bullets

The Florida Burn 18U Navy edged Bullets Baseball by a score of 4-3.  Ryan Ahern (2014, Venice, FL) went 4.1 innings for the Burn.  Ahern finished with ten strikeouts, four walks, and two earned runs.  The LHP does a good job at changing up speeds and keeps his hitters off balance.  He has good hip rotation and flashed an 83 mph fastball.  To go with his fastball, he showed a good change up that gave hitters a difficult time.  

With the bases loaded in the 5th, Ryan Brozowski (2015, Lithia, FL) was hit by a pitch that gave the Burn the 4-3 lead.  Brozowski went 1-1 as he had a single earlier in the ballgame 

Brandon Carmargo (2016, Riverview, FL) went 2-3 with two RBIs for the Bullets.  

Marks 10 K's Lifts Lobos to 9-1 Win

Aaron Marks, (2015, Johnson HS, TX) pitched a complete game, allowing one unearned run on five hits while striking out 10 to lead Lobos Baseball 18U past Team Tampa Bay 9-1. 
Primarily using his fastball, Marks also mixed in a curveball and slider to keep hitters honest. He received run support from Mario Hernandez, (2015, Antonian College Prep, TX), Shane Fodness, (2015, New Braunfels, TX) and Trent Yeglic, (2015, Reagan, TX) each had two hits. Hernandez and Yeglic had one RBI and Fodness had two RBIs. 
Brackman led Team Tampa Bay with two hits, including a double, and he also scored a run. Stephen Chamblee, (2014, Plant, FL) a Florida Atlantic commit, pitched 5.1 innings, allowing eight runs, five earned, on eight hits and struck out one. 

Moran, Lucca Combine for No-Hitter

Jovani Moran, (2015, Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy, PR) a South Florida commit, and Luis Lucca, (2015, Colleen Vasquez Urrutia, PR) combined to throw a no-hitter against Bullet Baseball 18U in a 8-0 win. 
Moran pitched four innings and struck out six. he averaged between 82-85 mph, maxing out at 89 mph, on his fastball and mixed in a good curveball and changeup. Andres Lopez, (2013, Escuela Superior Urbana, PR) was the offensive leader going 2-3 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored. Dan Pastrana, (2014, Colegio Bautista, PR) added a single and two RBIs. 
Aaron Edelmon, (2015, Hardin-Jefferson, TX) pitched 3.2 innings, allowing seven runs, two earned, on seven hits and struck out two. 

Boston Scorpions Edge Lakeland 3-2

The Boston Scorpions Baseball Club held off a late rally by the Lakeland Legends of the Batters Box 17U to win a close one, 3-2. 
Jack Wilhoite, (2015, Belmont Hill, MA) provided all the offense for the Scorpions, hitting a three-run home run in the bottom of the 4th. Raymond pitched six innings, allowing two runs on six hits while striking out three.
Trevin Pruitt, (2016, Jenkins HS, FL) and Baylee Waters, (2015, Lake Gibson, FL) each had two hits to lead Lakeland Legends of the Batters Box. Waters also had a stolen base in the game. Matt Wight, (2015, Lake Gibson, FL) pitched four innings, allowing three runs on five hits and struck out four. 

MPI 18U Edges Gameface Elite 4-3

MPI 18U held off a late rally Gameface Elite 17U to hold onto a narrow 4-3 victory to improve to 3-1 in the BCS Finals. 
Mike Gannon, (2015, Miami Palmetto Senior HS, FL) pitched 5.2 innings, only allowing three runs, two earned, on seven hits and struck out one. He received offensive run support from Cristian Rivera, (2014, Miami Christian HS, FL) who went a perfect 3-3 with a double, two singles, two RBIs and a run scored. Ivan Nunez, (2014, G. Holmes Braddock, FL) added a single and two RBIs. 
Luke Allen, (2015, Bethlehem Christian Academy, GA) had two singles and an RBI to lead Gameface Elite offensively. Samuel Orjuela, (2015, Mountain View HS, GA) added a single and an RBI. Elev8 Baseball Academy scored seven runs in the bottom of the fourth to end the game and get the 13-1 victory over Xtreme Baseball 18U.
Luis Diaz-Santa, (2015, Elev8 Sports Insititue, PR) had two hits, including a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored from his lead off spot to lead Elev8 Baseball Academy offensively. Antonio Ralat, (2015, Elev8 Sports Institute, FL) added three hits, including a double, two RBIs and three runs scored. Christian Hammond, (2014, Bishop Verot, FL) pitched a complete game, only allowing one run on one hit and struck out five.

Orlando Baseball Soars Over Tigers

The Orlando Baseball Academy 2014 defeated the NJ Tigers by a score of 9-1.  Bobby Ornes (2015, Clermont, FL) and Jeffrey Crisan (2014, Apopka, FL) both had two hits for the Orlando offense.  Jordan Hicks (2014, Apopka, FL) recorded two stolen bases.  Tyler Parry (2015, Eustis, FL) threw 5.0 innings for the Academy.  Parry finished with six strikeouts, two walks, and allowed five hits.  His fastball sat at 77-79 mph and touched 80 mph.  

The Tigers were led by Joseph Cashman (2015, Bordentown, NJ) at the plate.  Cashman finished with two hits and a stolen base.

Team Bownet Tamp Bay Warriors 18U beat the Orlando Baseball Academy 2014 6-2 to improve to 3-1 in the BCS Finals. 
King had a two-run home run for the Warriors to lead them offensively. Hakeem Rhodes, (2013, Sarasota HS, FL) had a double and two RBIs; and teammate Joey Simmons added a double, an RBI and a runs scored. Nick Bodner, (2014, Jesuit HS, FL), a Johns Hopkins commit, pitched 5.2 innings, only allowing two runs on six hits while striking out seven.

Wesley Weeks, (2014, Clay HS, FL) had a double, two RBIs, and two runs scored from his lead off position. Team Alabama Wins 8-1 Over Orioles

Team Alabama scored five runs in the top of the sixth to extend its lead to 8-1 and the pitching held the O-City Orioles 18U to one hit in an 8-1 win. 
Lance Johnson, (2016, Thompson HS, AL) pitched four perfect innings and struck out one to earn the win. Johnson attacked hitters during his outing as 78 percent of his pitches thrown were for strikes. Boomer Murchison, (2015, Pelham HS, AL) and Stephan Poplin, (2015, Thompson HS, AL) each had two hits and two RBIs to lead Team Alabama offensively. Murchison also scored two runs and Poplin scored one run. Brenton Sanders, (2016, Northridge HS, AL) added two hits, including a double, and had an RBI. 
Staurt Rodriguez, (2015, Edgewater HS, FL) led the Orioles offensively with a single, a stolen base and a run scored. Robert Bowen, (2015, Titusville HS, FL) pitched four innings, allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out one. 

ATL Blue Jays Handle N. Tournament Baseball

The Atlanta Blue Jays topped National Tournament Baseball by a score of 8-0.  

Darius Sewell (2015, Decatur, GA), Eric Feliz (2015, Englewood Cliffs, NJ), and David Posas (2015, Valdosta, GA) all had two hits for the Blue Jays.  Triston Leggett (2015, Douglasville, GA) went 1-2 with three RBIs.  

Morgan Foulks (2015, Douglasville, GA) tossed 5.0 innings for the Blue Jays.  Foulks showed good control to the plate, by allowing just one walk.  He finished with three K's and had his fastball touch 88 mph.  Foulks has solid arm action and attacks opposing hitters. 

Jake Anderson (2015, Yorba Linda, CA), Austin Saad (2014, La Habra, CA), Brad Hoffrichter (2016, La Habra, CA) all had hits for National Tournament Baseball. 

Wirchasky's Gem Lifts Reyes to 9-0 Win

Danny Wirchasky pitched a complete game, only allowing two hits while striking out 11, to lead Reyes Baseball to a 9-0 win over the East Cobb Padres 18U. 
Wirchasky's fastball averaged between 68-80 mph and maxed at 88 mph as he also mixed in a curveball and slider. Reyes Baseball got offense from JP Vail who hit a three-run home run and also drew two walks. Jariel Burges added a double, two RBIs and a run scored to add to the offensive output. 
Chase Puckett, (2013, Creekview HS, GA), a Reinhardt College commit, pitched a complete game, allowing nine runs, six earned, on nine hits and struck out four. Chris Turner, (2015, River Ridge HS, GA) had one of the Padres' two hits.

The Jacksonville offense tallied 11 hits in the contest.  Andrew Catone (2014, Jacksonville, FL) and Caleb Gay (2016, Jacksonville, FL) both had three hits for the Juice.  Nick Kelly (2015, Jacksonville, FL) went 2-3 with four RBIs and Ryan Knowles (2015, Jacksonville, FL) went 1-3 with three RBIs.  Jacob Rolison (2014, St. Johns, FL) got things started in the top of the 1st for the Juice.  Rollison doubled to right field to score two teammates.

Powermil 18U Tops Elite Pro Ball 6-2

Dallas Oliver, (2014, Chipley HS, FL), a Lawson State CC commit, pitched a complete game, holding Elite Pro Ball Academy to two runs on six hits as he helped Powermill 18U to a 6-2 victory. Oliver showed a smooth, deceptive delivery and good command as he threw plenty of strikes. His fastball averaged between 82-85 mph, maxing out at 89 mph, and he also flashed a good late breaking 12/6 cureball. Run support for Powermill came from Matt Hathcock, (2014, Colquitt County HS, GA), a Northwest State Florida College commit, who went 2-4 with a double, a single, two RBIs and a run scored. Payton Dixon, (2014, Thomasville HS, GA) also had two hits, including a double and run scored. Graham Hartsfield, (2014, Lincoln HS, FL) contributed offensively with two hits and two runs scored.

EC Astros Tie TB Warriors

The East Cobb Astros 18U and Team Bownet Tampa Bay Warriors 18U ended their battle in a 3-3 draw. 

The Astros finished with six hits in the contest.  Trevor Devine (2014, Acworth, GA) went 2-3 with two singles and a stolen base.  Griffin Helms (2014, Norcross, GA) went 1-2 with a RBI.  Helms is disruptive on the bases and has a quick first step.  

Connor Bennett (2015, Buford, GA) went 4.0 innings on the hill for the victors.  Bennet showed good control, as he allowed just one walk and recorded four strikeouts.  His fastball sat at 85-88 mph and touched 89 mph.  He does a good job of setting up hitters and uses his lower half well. 

Riveria (#11), King (#5), Hakeem Rhodes (2013, Sarasota, FL), Napp (#35), and Ab (#2) all finished with hits for the Warriors. 

Sentinels Early Lead Sparks 8-1 Win

The JMBC Sentinels 18U jumped out to an early 3-1 lead after the first inning and backed by a good offensive showing and dominant pitching, beat the Alabama Bluesox 8-1. 
Offense for the Sentinels came from Christopher (CJ) Flaherty, (2015, Weeki Wachee HS, FL) connected for a three-run home run. Thomas Moschner, (2015, Ridgewood HS, FL) added a solo shot for the Sentinels. Christian Brown, (2015, Fivay HS, FL) added two hits of his own, including a double and a single, and scored two runs. Jonah Izquierdo, (2015, Ridgewood HS, FL) kept the Bluesox offense at bay by pitching six strong innings, only allowing one run on four hits while striking out nine. Robert E. Murphree pitched a solid inning, striking out two of the three batters he faced as he didn't allow a run or hit. 
Logan Dobbs, (2014, Pell City HS, AL) was the offensive leader for the Bluesox going 1-3 with a single and a stolen base. Mason Wilkins, (2015, Oxford HS, AL) pitched three innings, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out four.

Christian Reyes (2015, Puerto Rico Baseball Academy, PR) went 1-1 with a double,  one run and one RBI in the game.  Nestor Muriel (2015, Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy, PR) also had a double and a run, and finished 1-3 in the game.  Kevin Rivera (2015, Puerto Rico Baseball Academy, PR) went 1-2 with a single and a run scored.

Bullets Baseball Top GSBA Cardinals 11-3

GBSA Cardinals couldn't hold off the Bullets Baseball hitters in their 11-3 loss. Bullets Baseball busted out for six runs in the third inning.

Spencer Nelson (2016, Durant, FL) ripped a grand slam in the third inning to break a 3-3 tie at the time. Jeffery Murrey (2015, Strawberry Crest, FL) singled twice, scored a run, and added an RBI. South Florida commit Christopher Chatfield (2015, Spoto, FL) doubled, singled, and scored a run. Trey Matthews (2015, Plant City, FL) doubled, drove in two runs, and crossed the plate once.

Winning pitcher Austin Boatwright (2014, Strawberry Crest, FL) gave up three runs over his five innings on the mound. Boatwright surrendered four hits and struck out four batters. He didn't allow a walk and threw almost 75% of his pitches for strikes.

For the GBSA Cardinals, Ej Ranel (2015, Archer, GA) smashed a two-run homer in the third inning. Jalen Jackson (2014, Heritage, GA) hit a solo shot in the second.

Bats Contagious in East Cobb Astros Win

The East Cobb Astros 18U just couldn't stop the runs as they piled up and their game against the NJ Tigers ended 15-0.

Notre Dame commit Collin Stoecker (2015, Siegel, TN) earned the win as he only needed to throw three innings. He gave up no hits, walked four batters, and struck out three. His fastball sat 78-83 mph and topped out at 85 mph. 

Georgia Tech commit Kel Johnson (2014, Homeschool, GA) smacked a three-run homer in the win. Vanderbilt recruit Alonzo Jones (2015, Columbus, GA) singled twice, scored two runs, and drove in two runs. Jalen Miller (2015, Riverwood, GA) went a perfect 2 for 2 with a homer, three runs scored, and three runs batted in. Troy recruit Chase Smartt (2015, Charles Henderson, AL) singled twice, added a run, and drove in a run. Kennesaw State commit Griffin Helms (2014, Norcross, GA) singled twice, scored a run, and added two RBIs. TJ Riles tripled, scored a run, and added two RBIs.

Midwest Elite Baseball Wins Big

Midwest Elite Baseball won big 12-1 against Ultimate Baseball. They scored multiple times in their first four innings.

Randy Righter (2014, Brother Rice, MI) paced Midwest Elite's offensive. He went 2 for 4 with a homer, a run scored, and six RBIs. Western Michigan recruit Connor Smith (2015, H.H. Dow, MI) doubled and scored three times. Cochise College recruit Jackson Overlund (2014, East Grand Rapids, MI) singled, tripled, and batted a run in.

Five Midwest pitchers combined to give up one run on three hits. Michigan commit and winning pitcher Karl Kauffmann (2016, Brother Rice, MI) pitched a scoreless inning and his fastball stayed 85-87 mph. Nick Holt (2015, Muskegon Catholic Central Midd, MI) threw a scoreless inning and his fastball ranged from 78-82 mph. Grambling State recruit Antonio Jacobs (2014, John Glenn, MI) gave up one earned run in his inning as his fastball sat 88-91 mph. Michigan State commit Collin Goslin (2015, Divine Child, MI) pitched a scoreless inning, threw 69% of his pitches for strikes, and his fastball ranged from 87-90 mph. Olivet Nazarene University commit Jonathan Hentschel (2014, Midland, MI) struck out two of the three batters he faced with his 87-88 mph fastball.

Nick Agosto (2014, Charlotte, FL) hit an RBI double in the loss. Anthony Lopez (2015, Mariner, FL) singled and scored Ultimate Baseball's only run. Grady Wells (2015, Port Charlotte, FL) threw two innings, faced 11 batters, and struck out one hitter. His fastball sat 81-83 mph and peaked at 85 mph. Tampa recruit Cody Martin (2014, Newsome, FL) could not record an out with his fastball that sat 83-86 mph and topped out at 89 mph.


Warriors Top Nelson Baseball School 6-3

Jacksonville Warriors 18U took down Nelson Baseball School by a score of 6-3.

Dalton Delano (2014, West Nassau County, FL) tripled, singled, and drove in three runs. Cody Boswell (2014, The Bolles, FL) tripled, singled, scored two runs, and added an RBI. Jordan Stacy (2014, Episcopal, FL) went 2 for 3 with a double and a run. Santa Fe CC commit Matt Allen (2014, Creekside, FL) singled twice and had one run batted in.

Warriors starter Alex Collins (2014, Broach School-Mandarin, FL) gave up three runs over five innings of solid work and picked up the win. He gave up six hits, walked one, and struck out three. He threw 67% of his pitches for strikes. Zachary Green (2015, Atlantic Coast, FL) threw two scoreless innings with a fastball that sat 81-84 mph and touched 85 mph. He threw 68% of his pitches for strikes. 

Johns Hopkins University commit Alex Darwiche (2014, Kennesaw Mountain, GA) singled twice, scored a run, and added an RBI for Nelson Baseball School. Spartanburg Methodist College commit Marion Hines (2014, South Cobb, GA) smacked an RBI double in the sixth to bring it to a two run ballgame. Tyler Minkkinen (2014, South Cobb, GA) singled and scored a run.

Georgia State recruit Will White (2014, Walton, GA) threw 71% of his pitches for strikes in his six innings of work. His fastball sat 78-82 mph and topped out at 84 mph. He gave up four earned runs and struck out six batters.

Hunter Pence Baseball Shutouts BPA Orange

Hunter Pence Baseball 18U shutout BPA Orange 18U. They scored four runs in the second and three runs in the third inning.

Up 4-0, Texas Lutheran University commit Andrew Whitten (2014, Spring Woods, TX) hit a three-run homer in the third inning for Hunter Pence Baseball. Daniel Blake (2015, Cypress Falls, TX) doubled, scored a run, added three RBIs. Aron Adams (2014, Spring Woods, TX) earned the win on the mound as he threw five shutdown innings. He only surrendered one hit and three walks. He struck out six batters and threw almost 65% of his pitches for strikes.

Point Park College recruit Paul Lopez (2014, Windermere Prep, FL) was the only hitter to get in the hit column for BPA Orange. Joseph Gardner (2015, Lake Howell, FL) threw three innings, faced 18 batters, and struck out four hitters. His fastball ranged from 78-83 mph.

Scorpions Get W Behind Yianacopolus's 13 K's

Boston Scorpions Baseball Club shuts out the East Cobb Padre's 6-0, thanks to a huge 13 strikeouts from Clay Yianacopolus (2015, St. Mary's, MA). Yianacopolus went all seven innings giving up only two hits and allowing no runs while striking out 13 batters. The lefty kept the Padre's batters off balance and his fastball maxed out at 82 mph. 

Jeremiah Adams (2016, tabor Academy, MA) led the powerful Scorpions offense by going 3-3 with a double, two RBI, and two runs scored. Northeastern commit Charlie McConnell (2015, Belmont Hill, MA) was also productive at the plate going 2-4 with a double and two runs scored. 

Team Bownet One Hits Xtreme Baseball

Team Bownet Tampa Bay Warriors 18u blow out Xtreme Baseball 18u 12-0 in four innings. Xtreme only managed to record one hit in the ball game. King went 3-3 with a double, a home run, four RBI, and a run scored. Napp Also had a massive day going 2-2 with two RBI and a run scored. The offense for Team Bownet did not stop there as Hakeem Rhodes went 1-2 with a double, an RBI, and one run scored. 

Ab went all four innings and recorded the win for Team Bownet Tampa Bay Warriors by only giving up one hit and no runs. 

Warriors Blowout Hunter Pence Baseball

the Jacksonville Warriors 18u rolled past Hunter Pence Baseball 18u 8-0 in five innings. The Warriors were able to score their 8 runs on 8 team hits. Christian Jones (2014, Eagles View Academy, FL) and Alex Collins (2014, Broach School-Mandarin, FL) both led the Warriors offense today as they both went 2-3 with two singles. Jones was able to record a RBI and a run scored on top of his two hits. 

Cooper Wallace (2014, Bartram Trail, FL) grabbed the win on the mound today going all five innings. He gave up no runs on three hits, and had his fastball max out at 83 mph.

Bullets Defeat Legends Showcase

Bullets Baseball pulled out the win on Monday 5-2 against Legends Showcase 17u. Maverick Powell (2015, Riverview, FL) provided some offense for Bullets Basball by going 2-3 with two singles. Brandon Carmargo (2016, Spoto, FL) also recorded a 2-3 day, but he had an RBI and a run scored. Trey Matthews (2015, Plant City, FL) was 1-2 with an RBI and a walk. 

Derek Smith (2015, Durant, FL) picked up the win for the Bullets going 1.2 scoreless innings. His fastball topped out at 85 mph.

Ben Ehmann (2016, Belmont Hill, MA) was a bright spot in the Legends lineup as he went 1-2 with an RBI. 

Ultimate Baseball shuts out Lobos Baseball

Ultimate Baseball shuts out Lobos Baseball 18u 2-0 in six innings. Iowa Lakes CC commit, Charlie Skantze (2014, Country Side, FL), picked up the win on the mound for Ultimate Baseball going four innings allowing no runs on one hit. His fastball maxed out at 86 mph in his four innings of work. Flagler College commit Jason Moore (2014, Estero, FL) led the offense for Ultimate by going 2-3 with a double and an RBI. Hunter Leonard (2015, Palmetto, FL) also helped out Ultimate by going a perfect 2-2 with two singles. 

Shane Fodness (2015, New Braunfels, TX) got the loss for Lobos Baseball, but he put forth a great effort by going six innings allowing one earned run on four hits. His fastball maxed out at 82 mph. 

East Cobb Astros Win 4-1

The East Cobb Astros 18u defeats Elite Pro Ball Academy 4-1 in five innings. The Astros ended up winnings thanks to big three run second inning. TJ Riles held lead the Astros to victory by going 1-1 with a home run and one RBI. Georgia Tech commit Jared Datoc (2014, Pace Academy, GA) had a nice day at the plate as well going 1-2 with a triple and two RBI. 

Thomas Reddin (2015, Lambert, GA) got the win on the mound for East Cobb going all five innings allowing one run on four hits. Reddin's fastball maxed out at 83 mph. 

Chad Stockdale (2014, Santa Fe, FL) led Elites offense by going 2-2 with an RBI.

Next Level Grabs 3-1 Victory over Legends

Next Level Upperclass defeated the Lakeland Legends of the Batters Box 17U, 3-1.

Tyler Holton (2015, Lincoln HS, FL) a Florida State commit, led the way, going 1-3 with a homerun, one run and one RBI in the game.  He also made an appearance on the mound, pitching an inning, and flashed a fastball that topped out at 89 mph.

Trey Johnson (2014, Lincoln HS, FL) pitched six complete innings, giving up one earned run on three hits and struck out four.  He had a fastball that peaked at 85 mph.  At the plate, Casey Wehrhahn (2014, Fort Walton Beach HS, FL) a Pensacola State commit, went 1-2 with a single and one RBI.

For the Legends, Sayvon Cowans (2016, Freedom HS, FL) went 1-2 with a single and one RBI.


Team Bownet Tampa Bay Cruises to Victory

Team Bownet Tampa Bay Warriors 18U jumped on the East Cobb Padres for 5 runs in the top of the 1st inning and cruised to a 10-0 victory. King and Riveria led the offense for the Warriors as they each showed power at the plate. 

King crushed 2 homeruns going 2-2 with 3 RBI displaying a strong lower half and power potential. Riveria also was impressive on offense hitting a homerun and finishing the day 2-3 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored making hard contact all day at the plate. 

Joey Simmons pitched a great game for the winning squad lasting the entire 5 inning game while giving up just 2 hits with 7 strikeouts on no runs or no walks. 

Hunter Lyons (2016, Sprayberry HS, GA)doubled for East Cobb Padres in the losing effort. 


Boston Scorpions Baseball Club Dominates

Boston Scorpions Baseball Club crushed Xtreme Baseball 18U 11-2 thanks to the bat of McNamara and solid pitching from Justin Snyder (2015, Salisbury HS, MA). 

McNamara recorded a triple and a double going 2-3 with 4 RBI and a run scored in the middle of the lineup for the Boston Scorpions. Snyder pitched a shortened complete 5 inning game limiting the Xtreme offense to just 4 hits on 1 earned run while striking out 5.

Castilla was the only member of the Xtreme roster to record multiple hits going 2-3 with 2 singles and an RBI.

Upstate Mavericks cruise to easy Victory

The Upstate Mavericks Scout Team cruised to the easy 11-3 victory, defeating the NJ Tigers.

Caleb Whitenton (2015, Gainesville HS, GA) a South Carolina commit, went 2-3 with two singles, two runs, and two RBIs in the game.  Leadoff hitter Christopher Proctor (2015, Burns HS, NC) a Duke commit, went 2-2 with a double, and one run scored.  Isaac Deveaux (2017, Edouard Montpetit, QC) went 2-3 as well with a double, one run and two RBIs.

On the mound, Thomas Martin (2015, T.L. Hanna HS, SC) pitched a complete game, giving up one earned run on five hits and struck out six, in five innings of work.  He had a fastball that topped out at 78 mph, and mixed in a handful of off-speed pitches.

For the Tigers, Isaiah Lewis (2015, Inst. of Tech-Westampton, NJ) went 2-3 with two singles, and one RBI in the game.

For Juice, Nick Kelly (2015, Mandarin HS, FL) went 2-3 with two singles.  Caleb Gray (2016, Christ's Church Academy, FL) went 1-3 with a double.  Ryan Knowles (2015, Sandalwood HS, FL) went 1-3 with a single and one run scored.

For the Prostyle, Trevor Wren (2013, Mariner HS, FL) went 1-2 with a double.  Zavier Bravo (2015, Oasis Charter HS, FL) went 1-3 with a single and a run scored.  Daniel Korchick (2015, Ida S. Baker HS, FL) pitched six complete innings of work, and he too had a good fastball that topped out at 81 mph.

East Cobb Astros 18U cruised to an easy victory over Lobos Baseball 18U 10-2 in 5 innings. 

Chase Smartt (2015, Charles Henderson HS, AL), a Troy commit, sparked the winning Astros offense going 3-3 with 2 doubles, 3 RBI, and a run scored. Thomas Johns (2016, Clay-Chalkville HS, AL) also delivered for the winning cause with a 3-run homerun and a walk at the plate. 

Casey Lenoch (2014, Homeschool, GA) picked up the win on the mound going 4 innings while striking out 4, on just 3 hits, and no earned runs. Lenoch will be heading to Georgia Perimeter College this upcoming fall.

Mario Hernandez (2015, Antonion College Prep, TX) had a good day at the plate for Lobos Baseball in the loss recording half of the team's 4 hits going 2-3 with 2 singles including an RBI.

Powermill 18U defeated the Midwest Elite Baseball, 8-4.

Ross Goforth (2014, Colquitt County HS, GA) went 2-4 with a double, one run and three RBIs.  Jonah Bozeman (2014, Colquitt County HS, GA) went 2-4 as well with a double, and one RBI.  Tristin Frazier (2015, Colquitt County HS, GA) went 2-3 with two singles.  Tyler Beal (2014, Lawton Chiles HS, FL) and Payton Dixon (2014, Thomasville HS, GA) each contributed with a double, and Mack Hathcock (2014, Colquitt County HS, GA) had a triple in the contest.

Thomas Nicoll (2014, Leon HS, FL) pitched a complete game, giving up one earned run on seven hits, and struck out four.  He did a good job of throwing strikes and being around the plate, with a fastball that topped out at 88 mph.

For the Midwest, Ryan Mergener (2014, Portage Central HS, MI) went 2-3 with one run and two RBIs.  Freddy Jehle (2014, Brother Rice HS, MI) went 2-2 with two runs scored, and Tyler Schmidt (2015, Undecided, MI) a Ball State commit, had a homerun in the game.

Joseph Morales (2014, Mariner HS, FL), a Nicholls State recruit, shined for the winning offense going 3-3 with 2 doubles, a triple, 5 RBI, and 3 runs scored showing a confident approach and quick hands. 

Grady Wells (2015, Port Charlotte HS, FL) also hit well for the Ultimate Baseball offense going 2-3 with 2 RBI and a double. 

Adonis Graham (2016, Newberry HS, FL) had multiple hits for Elite Pro on the losing end going 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 RBI. Austin Montmarquette (2016, Newberry HS, FL) also was productive for Elite Pro as he went 2-4 with 2 singles, an RBI, and a run scored

Team Alabama cruised to the easy 12-4 victory, defeating JMBC Sentinels 18U.

Sam Praytor (2017, Pelham HS, AL) led the way, going a perfect 4-4 with three doubles, one run, and four RBIs.  Dalton Roberts went 2-2 with a double, one run and one RBI.  Payton Young (2016, Piedmont HS, AL) went 2-4 with a triple, two runs and three RBIs.  Lance Johnson (2016, Thompson HS, AL) went 2-4 as well, with two singles, one run and two RBIs.

On the mound, John Marc Mullins (2017, Homewood HS, AL) pitched three complete innings, giving up just two hits, and struck out five.  He had a fastball that topped out at 80 mph, and mixed in a handful of off-speed pitches.

For the Sentinels, Christian Brown (2015, Fivay HS, FL) went 1-2 with a double and two RBIs.  Jonah Izquierdo (2015, Ridgewood HS, FL) went 2-2 with two singles, one run and two RBIs.


National Tournament Baseball Wins 5-4

National Tournament Baseball edged out a 5-4 victory, over BPA Orange 18U.

Jake Anderson (2015, Yorba Linda HS, CA) went 2-3 with two singles, one run and one RBI.  Michael Borg (2016, La Habra HS, CA) also went 2-3 with one run and two RBIs.  Chad Morris (2015, Yorba Linda HS, CA) went 1-2 with a run, one stolen base, and two RBIs.

On the mound, Nick Vega (2013, Yorba Linda HS, CA) pitched four complete innings, giving up four earned runs on seven hits, and struck out four, while flashing a fastball that topped out at 86 mph.  He did a good job of throwing strikes and commanding his pitches well.

For the Orange, Davey Savetman (2015, Timber Creek HS, FL) went 2-3 with two singles, and Paul Lopez (2014, Windemere Prep, FL) went 1-3 with a single and two RBIs.


Late run Lifts Nelson Baseball to 4-3 Win

Nelson Baseball broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the seventh innings, and ended up defeating Team Tampa Bay, 4-3.

Weston McArthur (2014, Calhoun HS, GA) went 1-2 in the game, with a single and one RBI.  William Campbell (2014, Etowah HS, GA) a Kennesaw State commit, went 1-3 with a double, and one run game.  Leadoff hitter Tyler Minkkinen (2014, South Cobb HS, GA) went 1-4 with a single and one run.

On the mound, Noah Hahlbohn (2014, North Cobb HS, GA) pitched five complete innings, giving up just two hits and struck out six.  He had a good fastball that peaked at 82 mph.  Bryan Quillens (2014, Pebblebrook HS, GA) also made an appearance on the mound, and had a fastball that topped out at 88 mph.

For Team Tampa Bay, Ryan Anderson (2014, Brandon HS, FL) went 2-3 with two singles and one run. 


Bullets Baseball Comes From Behind to Win

Hunter Pence Baseball 18U led going into the 5th inning, but it was a comeback from Bullets Baseball to give them a 3-1 victory. Hunter Pence Baseball won with just 5 hits while good pitching limited Bullets to just 3 hits.

Jeffery Murrey (2015, Strawberry Crest HS, FL) led the winning offense at the top of the order with a 2 RBI single and a run scored in the game. Nick Villa (2015, Tampa Catholic HS, FL) received the win on the mound for Hunter Pence lasting 5 innings while only giving up 1 hit, a homerun. 

Wyatt Richey (2014, Foster HS, TX) picked up the loss on the mound but was impressive on the mound going 6 innings while striking out 9 on just 4 hits. Richey displayed fastballs from 81-84/85, curveballs from 68-72 to keep the hitters off balance. 

Andrew Whitten (2014, Spring Woods HS, TX), a Texas Lutheran University commit, led the offense on the losing end at the top of the lineup. Whitten showed power and discipline at the plate going 2-2 with a solo homerun in the 3rd inning.

Florida Burn 18U Navy scored two runs in the bottom of the first, and never trailed in a 10-0 victory over Bullet Baseball 18U on Monday in Fort Myers.

Shane Rocklein (2015, Manatee HS, FL), Chas Emery (2014, Rockledge HS, FL), Brett McCabe (2014, Riverview HS, FL), and Jacob Rivers (2016, Sickles HS, FL) each drove in one run for the Burn. Emery and McCabe recorded two hits, while Emery, Ryan Brzozowski (2015, Newsome HS, FL), and Logan Keedy (2015, Newsome HS, FL) scored two runs apiece in the winning effort.

Brock Younce (2015, Braden River HS, FL) allowed five hits with one strikeout over five innings for a complete game. His fastball topped out at 81 mph.

Gainesville Naturals 18U scored in every inning, claiming a 9-4 victory over West GA Jackets in Fort Myers on Monday.

Blake Richardson (2014, Keystone Heights HS, FL) led the team with two runs batted in, while Storm Hamilton recorded two hits, including a double. Hamilton scored three runs in the victory.

Michael Bonetti was the winning pitcher with two earned runs allowed with four strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 75 mph.

James Quarels (2014, Douglas County HS, GA) drove in a run for the Jackets, and the team’s three hits were provided by Quarels, Jonathan Mitchell (2015, New Manchester HS, GA), and Kevin Johnson (2016, Hillgrove HS, GA) in the losing effort.

Atlanta Blue Jays Hold On to 12-9 Victory

Atlanta Blue Jays scored ten runs in the opening two innings, and scored two runs in the final inning for insurance in a 12-9 victory over O-City Orioles 18U on Monday.

Kep Brown drove in three runs to lead the production for the Blue Jays, while Edgar Cruz and David Posas (2015, Valdosta HS, GA) added two runs batted in, with Posas drilling a home run. Joey Bend (2015, Sandalwood HS, FL) added two hits, while Dayton Dugas (2015, Sam Houston HS, LA) and Darius Sewell (2015, Lakeside HS, GA) scored two runs a piece.

Jack Benham (2015, Immaculata HS, NJ) tossed 1.2 innings, and earned the win with two strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 75 mph.

Shiloh Sencion (2015, Boone HS, FL) drove in four runs for the Orioles, while Robyn Steenstra (2016, Trinity Preparatory School, FL) drove in two runs. SCORE International starting pitcher Bryan Garcia (2014, Faith Baptist Christian School, FL) tossed a four-inning no-hitter, and led his team to a 12-0 victory over Alabama Bluesox on Monday in Fort Myers.

Garcia faced just one more hitter than the minimum, and struck out four hitters. His fastball topped out at 84 mph.

Nelson Baseball School scored in each of the game’s final five innings, and claimed an 11-4 victory over Midwest Elite Baseball on Monday in Fort Myers.

Kennesaw State commit William Campbell (2014, Etowah HS, GA) drilled a home run for Nelson, while Georgia Highlands recruit Jake Swan (2014, Etowah HS, GA) and Tyler Minkkinen (2014, South Cobb HS, GA) added three runs batted in. Minkkinen led the team with three hits, and Swan and Johns Hopkins signee Alex Darwiche (2014, Kennesaw Mountain HS, GA) added two hits apiece. Walters State CC commit Weston McArthur (2014, Calhoun HS, GA) scored a team-high three runs.

Savannah State signee Zack Chandler (2014, Kennesaw Mountain HS, GA) earned the win over two innings pitched with one strikeout. His fastball topped out at 83 mph.

Powermill 18U walked off on a double from Payton Dixon (2014, Thomasville HS, GA), and claimed a 4-3 victory over Team Tampa Bay on Monday in Fort Myers.

Dixon, St. John’s River CC commit Tyler Beal (2014, Lawton Chiles HS, FL), and Northwest Florida State College commit Ross Goforth (2014, Colquitt County HS, GA) drove in one run each for Powermill. Andy Bush (2014, Colquitt County HS, GA) led the team with three hits and two runs scored. The other two runs were scored by Beal and Tristin Frazier (2015, Thomasville HS, GA) in the victory.

Tallahassee CC signee Zachary Chappell (2014, Bishop Verot HS, FL) tossed all seven innings for Powermill, striking out nine hitters with two earned runs allowed. His fastball topped out at 84 mph.

Jonathan Scott (2015, Community School of Naples, FL) drove in a run for the Naturals, and Kyle Fisher (2015, Naples HS, FL) and Robert DiMartin (2015, Naples HS, FL) scored the two runs. Luke Dawson (2017, St. John Neumann HS, FL) singled twice, and Scott added a double in the win.

Elev8 Baseball Academy held an early 5-0 lead, and hung on for a 7-4 victory over Suncoast Mizuno in Fort Myers on Monday.

Runs were driven in for Elev8 by Ariel Diaz (2015, Elev8 Sports Institute, PR), Reynaldo Rivera (2015, Elev8 Sports Institute, FL), Southwest Tennessee CC commit Bay Buckley (2014, Golden Gate HS, FL), and Alex Vazquez (2016, Elev8 Sports Institute, FL). Rivera led the team with a pair of singles, while seven players scored one run in the victory. Lane Bullock (2014, St. John Neumann HS, FL) also added a triple in the win.

Bullock earned the win on the mound, tossing three scoreless, hitless innings with four strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 85 mph.

Upstate Mavericks Scout Team scored all of their runs from the third inning on, and claimed an 8-4 victory over Prostyle Baseball Academy at City of Palms Park on Monday.

Jared Firmstone (2016, Greenville HS, SC) had a huge day for the Mavericks, driving in four runs with two singles and a run scored. Trey Watts (2015, Lexington HS, SC) added two runs batted in and two doubles, while Tripper Ergel (2015, Blythewood HS, SC) and Grayson Bailes (2015, Laurens District 55, SC) drove in one run each. South Carolina commit Caleb Whitenton (2015, Gainesville HS, GA) scored a game-high three runs in the victory.

Mike Perez (2015, Norcross HS, GA) worked 5.2 innings for the Mavericks, and earned the win. He struck out two hitters, and his fastball topped out at 79 mph.

Jacksonville Juice scored a run in all four innings, and rolled to a 15-4 victory over NJ Tigers at City of Palms Park on Monday.

Jordan Whitt (2015, Mandarin HS, FL), Ryan Knowles (2015, Sandalwood HS, FL), and Nick Kelly (2015, Mandarin HS, FL) each drove in two runs to lead the Juice offense. EJ Snyder (2015, Sandalwood HS, FL) and Caleb Gay (2016, Christ’s Church Academy, FL) recorded two singles in the game, and Knowles scored a team-high four runs with the team’s only extra-base hit, a double.

Tyler Thrower (2015, Bishop Kenny HS, FL) was the winning pitcher for the Juice, tossing three innings with three strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 77 mph.

MPi 18U scored five runs in the first three innings, and claimed a 5-1 victory over Orlando Baseball Academy 2014 on Monday in Fort Myers.

Yuri Sucart (2014, Westminster Christian School, FL) drilled a home run for MPi, driving in three runs with two runs scored. Ivan Nunez (2015, Braddock HS, FL) added a run batted in, a run scored, and two hits in the win.

Team Elite of PR needed just one hit, and allowed just one hit, in a 2-0 victory over Reyes Baseball on Monday in Fort Myers.

The two Elite runs were scored by Nestor Muriel (2015, Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy, PR) and Andres Lopez (2013, Escuela Superior Urbana, PR), who also came up with the lone hit.

Luis Lucca (2015, Escuela Coleen Vazquez Urrutia, PR) tossed four hitless, scoreless innings for Team Elite of PR. He struck out four, and his fastball topped out at 80 mph.

The only Reyes Baseball hit was a single from Jeffrey Parra.

Joe Stewart took a tough-luck loss for Reyes Baseball, striking out five hitters without allowing an earned run. His fastball topped out at 79 mph.

BPA Orange 18U scored in every inning, and claimed an 11-5 victory over JMBC Sentinels 18U on Monday in Fort Myers.

Edwin Muniz (2015, Melbourne HS, FL) drilled a home run and a double, driving in three runs and scoring two for PBA. Davey Savetman (2015, Timber Creek HS, FL), Kyle Fowler (2015, Umatilla HS, FL), and Tyler Wood (2015, Wiregrass Ranch HS, FL) each drove in two runs. Garrett Tomljenovich (2015, Winter Springs HS, FL) added two runs scored and two hits in the victory.

Jared Corbitt (2015, Eustis HS, FL) was the top pitcher for BPA, allowing just one hit over 3.2 innings. He struck out five, and his fastball topped out at 80 mph.

Team Alabama rallied from a 6-0 deficit after a half inning to score 13 unanswered runs and claim a 13-7 victory over National Tournament Baseball on Monday in Fort Myers.

Seth Richardson (2015, Austin HS, AL) led the Alabama offense with three runs batted in, two singles, and a run scored. Richardson, Boomer Murchison (2015, Pelham HS, AL), Alex Weeks (2015, Pelham HS, AL), and Lance Johnson (2016, Thompson HS, AL) each slapped two hits, while Murchison, Sam Praytor (2017, Pelham HS, AL), and Ethan Thomas (2016, James Clemens HS, AL) scored two runs apiece in the victory.

Thomas earned the win for Team Alabama, tossing 1.1 perfect innings. His fastball topped out at 84 mph.

Boston Scorpions Battle Past Team Bownet

The Boston Scorpions Baseball Club defeats Team Bownet Tampa Bay Warriors 18u 2-1 in seven innings. The Scorpions never trailed in the game and was able to hang on to an early lead they obtained in the second inning. Jeremiah Adams (2016, Tabor Academy, MA) was able to go 1-3 on the day with a big RBI for the Scorpions. Daniel Metzdorf (2015, Buckingham Browne Nichols, MA) got the win on the mound for Boston by going 3.2 innings giving up no runs on one hit. 

The Warriors got a nice outing from Jordan who went 4 innings giving up two earned runs. Ab had a nice day at the plate for the Warriors as he went 1-2 with a double.

SCORE International and Atlanta Blue Jays Tie

SCORE International 18u ties against the Atlanta Blue Jays 3-3. SCORE International had to battle back in the sixth inning to tie the game at 3. St. Johns River CC commit Tyler Carr started the game on the mound for SCORE and went five innings allowing two earned runs while striking out seven. His fastball sat around 86 mph. State College of Florida commit Ronny Orta (2014, Faith Baptist Christian, FL) came in for 2/3 of an inning giving up no runs while striking out one. His fastball maxed out at 92 mph.  SCORE got nice offense of production from Ashton Pratt (2015, Faith Baptist Christian, FL) who went 2-3 with a triple.

Erikson Lanning (2015, Sequoyah, GA) had a nice day on the mound for the Atlanta Blue Jays by going two innings giving up two runs on two hits. Kep Brown led the Atlanta Blue Jays offense by going 1-3 with a triple and an RBI.

Florida Burn and Gainesville Naturals Tie

The Florida Burn 18u Navy tied against Gainesville Naturals 18u 1-1 in seven innings. Albert Neff (2014, Pine Ridge, FL) went a strong six innings for the Florida Burn giving up one earned run on three hits while striking out ten batters. His fastball reached 88 mph on the day. 

The Burn got nice offensive production from Casey Smith (2015, Lake Mary Preparatory, FL) who went 3-3 with a triple. 

Will Whittlock had a nice day on the mound for the Naturals. He went four innings giving up no earned runs on four hits. His fastball maxed out at 87 mph. 


Willingham pitches Bluesox to win

The Alabama Bluesox defeated the O-City Orioles by a final score of 4-0 on Sunday. This win improves the Bluesox record to (1-0) thus far in the tournament.

Dax Willingham (2014, Oxford, AL) led the on the mound for the Bluesox and also turned in a 2 hit game with a double and an RBI from the plate. Willingham pitched 6 innings in which he gave up 4 hits, and a walk, while striking out 9. He sat 79-82 with his fastball and topped out at 86. Tyler Hardcastle (2014, White Plains, AL), Miles Masters (2015, White Plains, AL), and Tyler Carter (2015, Jacksonville, AL) all turned in multi-hit games for the Bluesox tallying 2 hits apiece in 3 at-bats.

Stalemate For Cardinals and Lakeland Legends

The Lakeland Legends of the Batters Box17U and the GBSA Cardinals ended their battle in a 3-3 draw.

The GBSA Cardinals were led by Isaac Nieves (2014, Jacksonville, FL), who was very impressive at the plate.  Nieves finished with two home runs and a single in the contest.  His first home run occurred in the bottom of the 1st that scored David Burke (2014, Stone Mountain, GA).  The 2nd homer was a solo shot that cleared the centerfield wall.  Nieves has good bat speed and drives the ball with hard contact.  

Kevin Wimbish (2014, Ellenwood, GA) pitched 7.0 innings for the Cards.  Wimbish recorded four strikeouts, one earned run, two walks, and allowed five hits.  

Baylee Waters (2015, Lakeland, FL) went 2-3 with a triple and a double for the Lakeland Legends.  David Hutchinson (2014, Lakeland, FL) pitched 7.0 innings and allowed just three hits and struck out eight.  

JMBC Sentinels Hold on For 6-3 Victory

JMBC Sentinels only recorded 5 hits in the game compared to National Tournament Baseball's 9 hits, but held on for a 6-3 victory. 

JMBC scored all of their runs in the first 3 innings scoring to gain an early 6-0 lead. Offense was lead by Thomas Moschner (2015, Ridgewood HS, FL) and Christian Brown ()2015, Fivey HS, FL) who both went 1-3 with a single and 2 RBI.

Michael Borg (2016, La Habra HS, CA) led the offense on the losing side going 3-4 including 2 doubles as they couldn't muster enough for a successful comeback.

Bullet Baseball Cruise To 10-1 victory

Bullet Baseball 18U pounded out 10 runs on 10 hits in the 5-inning shortened victory against West GA Jackets with a score of 10-1. Madison Morales (2014, Grand Lake HS, LA) tossed a complete game no-hitter.

Morales struck out 6 with just 1 walk on one unearned run. Morales displayed a fastball from 80-84 and effectively mixed a breaking ball from 68-74.

Aaron Edelmon (2015, Hardin-Jefferson HS, TX) had the only extra base hit in the victory going 2-2 with a double, 2 RBI, 2 runs, and a walk to lead the offense. Tanner Landreneau (2014, Mamou HS, LA) also produced for the Bullet offense going 2-3 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.

Midwest Elite Baseball rolled Team Tampa Bay by a score of 13-0.  

Randy Righter (2014, Bloomfield Hills, MI) tossed 5.0 innings for the victors.  Righter finished with two hits, no earned runs, no walks, and recorded seven strikeouts.  His fastball sat at 80-81 mph throughout the contest.  From the plate, Righter went 2-3 with two RBIs.

Siena commit Freddy Jehle (2014, Troy, MI) had a huge day offensively for the Midwest.  Jehle finished with three hits, three RBIs, and had a stolen base.  Jackson Overlund (2014, Ada, MI) went 2-2 with two doubles, a RBI, and scored three runs.  Overlund is an aggressive hitter that drives the ball with hard contact.  Karl Kauffmann (2016, Bloomfield Hills, MI), Jordyn Muffley (2015, Porage, MI), and Conner Smith (2015, Midland, MI), all had two hits for the Elite.

Elite Pro Baseball Academy jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the 2nd inning but Lobos Baseball 18U responded by scoring the final 11 runs of the shortened game to win 11-3.

Lobos Baseball powered out 5 extra-base hits in the game including 2 homeruns. Aaron Marks (2015, Johnson HS, TX) went 2-3 with a homerun, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored showing power potential. Eric Aldaco (2015, Boerne - Samuel V Champion, TX) had the other homerun, a 3-run shot in the 5th.

Montmarquette  hit a solo homerun for Elite Pro in the loss as he displayed a confident, power approach.

Nick Angelastro (2014, Orlando, FL) was impressive on the hill today for the Baseball Academy.  Angelastro pitched 6.0 innings and allowed two hits, one earned run, and struck out 11 Reyes hitters.  His fastball sat at 77-81 mph and touched 82 mph. 

Brett Coffel (2015, Clermonts, FL), Jordan Hicks (2014, Apopka, FL), and Jeffrey Crisan (2014, Apopka, FL) all had hits for the victors.  Hicks also recorded a stolen base and scored two runs.

The Gameface Elite 17U scored three early runs and held on for a 3-1 victory over the Suncoast Mizuno.   Luis Vilchez (2015, Lawrenceville, GA) went 1-3 with a double and a RBI for the Elite.  Patrick Klein (2015, Winder, GA) finished with two singles and scored one run.  Luke Allen (2015, Winder, GA), Jacob Fincher (2015, Jefferson, GA), and Connor Cohea (2015, Braselton, GA) all had hits for the Elite.  

Payton Jenkins (2014, Sarasota, FL) was impressive on the hill for the Suncoast squad.  Jenkins went 3.0 innings, and allowed no earned runs, no walks, and struck out eight.  The RHP has a smooth delivery and an explosive 83 mph fastball.

The Pro Style Baseball Academy defeated the NJ Tigers by a score of 5-2.  Steele (#8) pitched 5.0 innings for the Baseball Academy.  Steele finished with no earned runs, no hits, two walks, and seven strikeouts.  He has good mound presence and has great control to the plate.  

The victors finished with eleven hits in the contest.  Zavier Bravo (2015, Cape Coral, FL), Trevor Wren (2013, Cape Coral, FL), Chase O'Neil (2015, North Port, FL), Calvin Hough (2015, North Port, FL), Lukas Post (2015, North Fort Myers, FL), all finished with two hits in the contest.  

Clark Trembley (2015, North Port, FL) has solid defensive tools from behind the plate.  Trembley blocks well and has an accurate arm.  

Isaiah Lewis (2015, Willingboro, NJ) had the lone hit for the Tigers.
