Dirtbags gets the victory today over West Coast Mariners with help from their pitcher to get the victory. Porter Agnew (Sherwood, Sherwood, OR 2018) was the hot hitter for West Coast Mariners. He went 1-3 for the game. Chance Howard (Rosewood, Goldsboro, NC 2018) and Aaron Beasley (Durham Academy, Durham, NC 2018) was the two hot hitters for Dirtbags. Howard went 1-2 for the game with scoring one run. Beasley went 1-3 for the game with scoring one run. Dirtbags as a offense today had three runs scored with five hits.

Kodie Kolden (Lake City, Post Falls, ID 2018) was the ace pitcher for West Coast Mariners. He tossed three innings worth while giving up two hits, one run and striking out one. Steinburg went 2-2 for the game with scoring one run and had one RBI. Nurse went 1-2 for the game with scoring one run and had one RBI also. Adrain Valez (Crosby, Waterbury, CT 2017) and Austin Becker (Big Walnut, Sunbury, OH 2017) were the other hot hitters for CT Combat. Valez went 2-3 for the game with scoring one run. Becker went 2-3 for the game with scoring one run and had one RBI.

Drew Ehrlich (Gilman, Annapolis, MD 2017) was the ace pitcher for Dig In Baseball. He tossed four innings worth while giving up seven hits, four runs, walking one and striking out four. Simon went 2-2 for the game with scoring one run and had two RBIs. Spratling went 1-2 for the game with scoring one run and brought two runners home on hits. Florida Pokers win 9-8 in a close battle with the Miami Suns to win the championship. Both teams today had their offense going as they both had a total of 13 hits. Henry Anthony Vilar (Slam Charter, Miami, FL 2018) and Tyler Grant (Gulliver Schools, Miami, FL 2018) were the hot hitters for the game. Vilar went 2-4 for the game with one run batted in. Grant went 1-3 for the game with scoring two runs and had an RBI. Eddie Ayala (J. P. Taravella, North Lauderdale, FL 2017) and Christian Scott (Calvary Christian Academy, Parkland, FL 2018) was the other hot hitters for Florida Pokers. Ayala went 1-2 for the game with scoring one run and had two RBIs. Scott went 2-4 for the game with one run batted in.

Michael Diaz (American Senior, Miami Lakes, FL 2017) was the ace pitcher for Miami Suns. Florida Pokers Pull Away for 7-2 Win

Florida Pokers used a four-run third inning to pull ahead and claim a 7-2 victory over Chain Stealth in Fort Myers on Monday.

Eddie Ayala (2017, Taravella HS, FL) led the Pokers at the plate, as he drove in three runs, scored another two, and recorded two hits. Kyle Benson (2017, St. Thomas Aquinas HS, FL) drove in two runs, and added two hits. Jose Varela (Terra Environmental Research Institute, FL) also drove in a run with two hits and two runs scored, while Anthony Figueroa (2018, Cypress Bay HS, FL) scored three runs with two hits.

Benson tossed 5.2 innings, allowing two runs on five hits. He struck out five hitters, and his fastball topped out at 79 mph.

The two Chain Stealth runs were driven in by Malik Spratling (2017, Lee County HS, GA) and Caleb Flores (2018, Frostproof HS, FL), while Tyler Simon (2017, Lee County HS, GA) and Spratling scored the runs. Simon and Flores led the team with two hits each, including a double for both.

Miami Suns Score Early, Hold On for 4-3 Win

Miami Suns scored the first four runs of the game, and held on for a 4-3 victory over Central Florida Gators on Tuesday in Fort Myers.

Robert Pena (2018, Doral Academy Charter, FL) drove in a run for the Suns, and the team’s four runs were scored by Christian Santana (2017, Mater Academy Lakes, FL), Henry Anthony Vilar (2018, Slam Charter HS, FL), Tyler Grant (2018, Gulliver Schools, FL), and Michael Montes De Oca (2018, Flanagan HS, FL), who led the team with two hits. Grant also supplied a double in the win.

Aidan Frye (2018, Souderton Area HS, PA) earned the win for the Suns over four innings. His fastball topped out at 78 mph with six strikeouts.

Joseph Charles (2019, The First Academy, FL), Tyler Callihan (2019, Providence School, FL), and Mason Denaburg (2018, Merritt Island HS, FL) each drove in a run for the Gators.

FBH Angels Rally For 7-4 Win

FBH Angels rallied from a 4-0 deficit to score the last seven runs of the game and claim a 7-4 victory over Dig In Baseball on Tuesday in Fort Myers.

Hunter Morales (2018, Bartow HS, FL) and Colton Bierly (2017, Wesley Chapel HS, FL) drove in two runs apiece to lead the Angels at the plate. Bierly also added a double, while Zach Farrer (2019, Bartow HS, FL) and Kristoffer Clayton (2019, Strawberry Crest HS, FL) each drove in one run in the win.

Benji Hidalgo (2018, Plant City HS, FL) allowed one earned run over 2.1 innings, and earned the win with one strikeout. His fastball topped out at 68 mph.

Jacob Steinberg (2018, St. John’s College HS, MD) and Ethan Forbes (2018, St. John’s College HS, MD) led the run production for Dig In with one run batted in each. Steinberg led the team with two hits and two runs scored, while Forbes clubbed a double in the loss.

West Coast Mariners Roll to 8-2 Victory

West Coast Mariners scored at least one run in each of the first five innings, and rolled to an 8-2 victory over CT Combat in Fort Myers on Tuesday.

Halden Bjornson (2018, Lakeridge HS, OR) and Dustin Garcia (2018, South Kitsap HS, WA) each clubbed two singles, and drove in a run to lead the Mariners offense. Garcia also led the offense with two runs scored. Jackson Barnum (2019, Hamilton HS, OR) and Jacob Pfennigs (2018, Post Falls HS, ID) each scored a run and drove in another in the win.

Logan Johnson (2018, West Salem HS, OR) allowed one run over five innings, and struck out nine hitters in the win. His fastball topped out at 77 mph.

The two Combat runs were driven in by Adrian Valez (2017, Crosby HS, CT) and Elijah Spataj (2017, Cheshire HS, CT), while Valez and Bryan Fernandez (2017, Sacred Heart HS, CT) scored the team’s runs. Valez also led the team with a pair of hits, both singles.

Central Florida Gators Win 8-4

Central Florida Gators scored five unanswered runs to rally from an early 2-0 deficit, and went on to claim an 8-4 victory over Dig In Baseball on Monday in Fort Myers.

Tommy Ben (2017, Atlantic Coast HS, FL) led the Gators offense with three runs batted in on two singles, while Mason Denaburg (2018, Merritt Island HS, FL) and Connor Ollio (2018, Butler Area HS, PA) each drove in two runs. Elijah Cabell (2018, Winter Park HS, FL) added two runs scored, a single, and a run batted in, and Denaburg also added two runs scored.

Ben tossed three scoreless, hitless innings for the Gators, striking out two hitters. His fastball topped out at 80 mph.

The Dig In offense was led by Ethan Forbes (2018, St. Johns College HS, MD), who drove in two runs on one hit a single. JP Walsh (2018, Georgetown Preparatory School, MD) drove in a run, and Drew Ehrlich (2017, Gilman HS, MD) clubbed a double in the losing effort.

Willie Cano (Mesquite, Gilbert, AZ 2018) ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision with getting the loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs. Dirtbags Roll to 7-1 Victory

Dirtbags scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back in a 7-1 victory over CT Combat on Monday in Fort Myers.

Colton Olasin (2019, Pembroke Pines, FL) was the leader of the Dirtbags offense, as he drove in three runs and scored another with two hits, including a double. Chance Howard (2018, Rosewood HS, NC) added two runs scored, a run batted in, and a single, while one run each was driven in by Riley Cameron (2017, Union Pines HS, NC), KJ Wells (2018, Western Alamance HS, NC), and Nick Melton (2018, Crest HS, NC).

Kolby Harris (2018, Rosewood HS, NC) allowed one run on five hits over 4.2 innings, and earned the win with five strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 73 mph.

The lone Combat run was scored by John Nolan (2015, Windsor HS, CT), who also supplied a single. Elijah Spataj (2017, Cheshire HS, CT) led the team with two hits, while Sean Melaven (2017, Cromwell, CT) and Niko Droukas (2017, Brookfield HS, CT) each recorded one hit in the loss.

11-Run Inning Powers Elite Squad Baseball

Elite Squad Baseball exploded for 11 runs in the bottom of the second inning, and rolled to a 14-4 victory over Xtreme Baseball 14U on Monday in Fort Myers.

Patrick Crawley (2018, American Heritage HS, FL) drilled a home run, driving in three runs on two hits with two runs scored for Elite Squad. Arrison Perez (2017, West Broward HS, FL) and Alexandro Bello (2018, Hialeah HS, FL) also drove in three runs, while Jared Defaria (2018, Pine Crest HS, FL) drove in two runs. Jake Holland (2019, Miami Lakes, FL) added two runs scored and two hits in the victory.

Anthony Laney (2018, Cardinal Gibbons HS, FL) struck out one hitter over three innings, and earned the win for Elite Squad. His fastball topped out at 74 mph.

Bryar Hawkins (2018, West Forysth HS, GA) and Owen Canales (2018, Fort Myers HS, FL) drove in a run for Xtreme Baseball. Danny Cunningham (2018, Canterbury School, FL) led the team with two hits, both singles, and scored a run in the losing effort.

Miami Suns and FBH Angels Tie

Miami Suns scored the final two runs of the game, forcing a 2-2 tie with FBH Angels on Monday in Fort Myers.

Scoring the two runs for the Suns were Triston Casas (2018, Florida Virtual School, FL) and Aidan Frye (2018, Souderton Area HS, PA). Casas, Kevin Mauras (2018, Miami Coral Park HS, FL), Tyler Grant (2018, Gulliver Schools, FL), and Sean Dieppa (2017, West Broward HS, FL) each recorded a single in the tie.

Mauras struck out four hitters over four innings, allowing one earned run on four hits. His fastball peaked at 81 mph.

Jamarcus Lyons (2018, King HS, FL) and Hunter Morales (2018, Bartow HS, FL) each drove in a run for the Angels, runs that were scored by Benji Hidalgo (2018, Plant City HS, FL) and Lyons. Hidalgo and Lyons each recorded two hits, while Emilio Rivera (2017, Plant City HS, FL) added one single in the draw.

Lyons did not allow an earned run over five innings, allowing two unearned runs with five strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 83 mph.

Angels Roll to Blowout Win

The FBH Angels jumped out to an early lead in a big way, putting up ten runs in the top of the first as they cruised to a 12-3 blowout win over the Florida Pokers in five innings. The Angels offense logged nine hits from six different players with Jamarcus Lyons (2018, King HS, FL) leading the way. Lyons had a perfect 2-2 game at the plate with an RBI, a run scored, a stolen base and a triple as Zach Farrer (2019, Bartow Senior HS, FL) added in his 1-3 game with two RBIs, two runs scored and a double. Christian Scott (2018, Calvary Christian Academy, FL) sparked the Poker offense to five hits with two of his own, finishing 2-3 with two RBIs, a run scored and a triple.

Emilio Rivera (2017, Plant City HS, FL) took home the win for the Angels after spending the first three and a third innings on the mound. Rivera tossed 85 pitches and allowed five hits and three runs, all earned, while walking three and striking out one with a fastball averaging 69 mph and topping out at 73 mph. 

Gongola Tosses No-Hitter in Dig In Win

Dig In Baseball got a complete game no-hitter from pitcher Zeke Gongola (2018, St. Johns College HS, MD) and blanked the West Coast Mariners 7-0. Gongola tossed 84 pitches in his six innings on the mound and allowed no hits or runs while walking three and striking out seven with a four-pitch rotation featuring a fastball averaging 79 mph and topping out at 82 mph. 

Gongola couldn't do it all from the mound and got the help he needed from a powerful Dig In offense that logged nine hits from six different players as JP Walsh (2018, Georgetown Preparatory HS, MD) provided the power. Walsh logged a perfect game at the plate, finishing 2-2 with a game-high four RBIs, a run scored and a double. 

Chain Stealth Take 4-1 Win

The Chain Stealth jumped out to an early lead after two quick runs in the first inning as they took a 4-1 win over Elite Squad Baseball helped out by four Elite fielding errors. The Stealth offense logged seven hits from four different players as Garrett Suiter (2018, Lee County HS, GA) and Malik Spratling (2017, lee County HS, GA) paced the offense. Suiter finished with a 2-3 game at the plate with two RBIs as Spratling added in his own 2-3 game with an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base. 

Emerson Hancock (2017, Cairo HS, GA) picked up the win for the Chain Stealth bullpen after spending the first four innings of the game out on the mound, tossing 57 pitches and allowed two hits and no runs while walking two and striking out three. Hancock showed control all around and on both sides of the plate with long arm action and good hip rotation, attacking hitters with three-pitch rotation featuring a 12/6 curveball and a fastball averaging 76 mph and topping out at 82 mph. 

Gators Blank Xtreme 5-0

The Central Florida Gators played a complete game in a 5-0 shutout win over the Xtreme Baseball 14U, holding the Xtreme offense to only one hit while forcing three fielding errors. The Gator offense knocked in six hits from four different players with Max Clark (2017, Lake Highland Preparatory HS, FL) and Tommy Ben (2017, Atlantic Coast HS, FL) leading the way. Clark powered his way to a 2-3 game at the plate, picking up a game-high three RBIs and a stolen base as Ben finished a perfect 2-2 with a game-high three runs scored, a walk, two stolen bases, and a double. 

Joeseph Charles (2019, The First Academy, FL) took home the win for the Gators for his three and a third innings on the mound to start out the game, tossing 36 pitches and allowing one hit and no runs or walks while striking out three. Charles showed good command all around the plate with all his pitches, mound presence and solid mechanics, pitching his way out of trouble with a fastball averaging 80 mph and topping out at 83 mph.

SWFL Canes Elite wins big.

SWFL Canes Elite jumps on Dirtbags early and coasts to 8-2 win. The game was decided quickly as SWFL Canes Elite exerted its will early with five runs in the first three innings. Chris Schrowe (Ida Baker, Cape Coral, FL 2017) racked up two RBIs on two hits for SWFL Canes Elite. Colton Olasin (Undecided, Pembroke Pines, FL 2019) was the other hot hitter for Dirtbags. He went 1-3 for the game with scoring one run.

Ryen Clay (Ida Baker, Cape Coral, FL 2017) had an impressive outing against Dirtbags' lineup. Dirtbags managed just one hit off of Clay. He allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his four innings of work. Tyler Kehoe (Gloucester Catholic, Prospect Park, PA 2019) was charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked four and struck out three.

Florida Pokers wins easy with six runs.

Fourth-inning rally sparks blowout win for Florida Pokers, 6-0. Florida Pokers was led by Kyle Benson's (St Thomas Aquinas, Davie FL 2017) hitting. He went 2-3 and scored two runs with a single in the second inning and doubled in the fourth inning. Caleb Roberts (St Thomas Aquinas, Coral Springs, FL 2018) was the other hot hitter for Florida Pokers. He went 2-3 for the game with scoring one run and had one RBI.

Miami Suns' lineup had no answer for Buxbaum. Miami Suns managed just one hit off of Buxbaum. He allowed no earned runs, walked seven and struck out none during his 4 2/3 innings of work. Derek Cabrera (Charles W Flanagan, Pembroke Pines, FL 2019) was charged with the loss. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed five runs.

Central Florida falls to Elite Squad Baseball 5-3. Mason Denaburg (Merritt Island, Merritt Island, FL 2018) was the hot hitter for the Central Florida Gators. He went perfect 1-1 at the dish for Central Florida Gators with a single in the first inning. Slade Cecconi (Trinity Preparatory, Oviedo, FL 2018) was the other hot hitter for Central Florida Gators. He went 1-1 for the game with scoring one run.

Denaburg worked out of five tricky spots for Central Florida Gators. He pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed no earned runs on one hit. Arrison Perez (West Broward, Pembroke Pines, FL 2017) got it done on the mound on the way to a victory. He allowed three runs over six innings with striking out two, walked three and surrendered five hits. Perez fastball range for the game was 79-83 mph. Denaburg fastball range for the game was 83-85 mph.

The West Coast Mariners seize victory thanks to late single, drop Xtreme Baseball 14U 8-3. Logan Johnson (West Salem, Salem, OR 2018) was the hot hitter for West Coast Mariners. He racked up three RBIs on three hits with a single in the second, third, and fifth innings. Bryar Hawkins (West Forsyth, Cumming, GA 2018) was the other hot hitter for Xtreme Baseball 14U. He went 1-3 for the game with scoring two runs. West Coast Mariners as a offense today had eight runs scored and with eight hits.

Dawson Jarmillo's (Lake Oswego Senior, Portland, OR 2018) nine strikeouts helped the West Coast Mariners to the victory. He allowed no earned runs, three hits and two walks over six innings. Hawkins was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked one and struck out five.

Miami Suns defeat the SWFL Canes 7-2

The Miami Suns defeated the SWFL Canes Elite, 7-2.

Tyler Grant (2018, Gulliver Schools, FL) led the way for the Suns offense, going 2-3 with a double, single, one run and one RBI in the game.  Kevin Mauras (2018, Miami Coral Park, FL) went 2-3 as well with two singles, one run and two RBIs.  Carlos Lara (2017, Belen Jesuit Prep, FL) also went 2-3, with two singles and two runs scored.

Jordan Rodriguez (2018, Charles W. Flanagan HS, FL) pitched a complete game, giving up two earned runs on five hits, and struck out four, in seven complete innings of work.  He showed good control on both sides of the plate, and had a good fastball that topped out at 75 mph.

For the Canes, John Dwyer (2017, Bishop Verot HS, FL) went 1-2 with a double, and Blaze Alexander (2018, Bishop Verot HS, FL) went 1-3 with a single and one run scored in the game.


CT Combats defeat FBH Angels 9-5

The CT Combats defeated the FBH Angels, 9-5.

Leadoff hitter Adrian Valez (2017, Crosby HS, CT) went 1-3 with a double, one run and one RBI in the game.  William Gersky (2018, Choate Rosemary Hall, CT) went 2-4 with two singles, two runs and one RBI.  John Nolan (2015, Windsor HS, CT) went 2-3 with two singles, and one run scored.  Collin Hajjar (2017, Cheshire HS, CT) went 2-3 as well, with two singles, and one RBI, and Austin Becker (2017, Big Walnut HS, OH) contributed with a double of his own in the game.

For the Angels, Jarmarcus Lyons (2018, King HS, FL) went 1-1 with a homerun, two runs and two RBIs.  BJ Carter (2017, Blake HS-Magnet, FL) went 2-3 with a double, single, and one run scored.  Lucus Shannon (2018, Kathleen Senior HS, FL) went 2-3 as well, with two singles, and one RBI.


Chain Stealth Gets Blowout Victory 11-0

Chain Stealth grabbed the blowout victory, defeating Dig In Baseball, 11-0.

Colt Buckingham (2017, Niceville Senior HS, FL) pitched a complete game, giving up just three hits and struck out one, while showing a fastball that peaked at 78 mph, and mixed in some curveballs and changeups to act as his off-speed pitches.

At the plate, Malik Spratling (2017, Lee County HS, GA) went a perfect 2-2 with a double, single, two runs and one RBI.  Leyton Pinckney (2018, Veterans HS, GA) contributed by going 2-3 with two singles, and two RBIs in the game.

For Dig In, Jacob Steinberg (2018, St. Johns College, MD) and Wesley Clarke (2018, Liberty Christian Academy, VA) each went 1-3 with a single a piece in the game.


Elite Squad Baseball Shutout Mariners

Elite Squad Baseball grabbed the shutout victory, defeating the West Coast Mariners, 5-0.

Central Florida Gators scored their runs in the second half of the game, claiming a 6-2 victory over Chain Stealth on Sunday in Fort Myers.

Max Clark (2017, Lake Highland Preparatory School, FL) led the offensive efforts of the Gators, as he drove in two runs with a single. Mason Denaburg (2018, Merritt Island HS, FL) scored a run, drilled two singles, and drove in one run, while Elijah Cabell (2018, Winter Park HS, FL) drove in a run, recorded one single, and scored a run in the win.

Slade Cecconi (2018, Trinity Preparatory School, FL) allowed two runs over 5.1 innings, striking out seven hitters. His fastball topped out at 77 mph.

The two Chain Stealth runs were driven in by Garret Suiter (2018, Lee County HS, GA) and Geoffrey Lancaster (2018, A. Crawford Mosley HS, FL), while scoring the two runs were Malik Spratling (2017, Lee County HS, GA) and Tyler Simon (2017, Lee County HS, GA) in the loss.

FBH Angels and Dirtbags Play to 3-3 Tie

Neither FBH Angels nor Dirtbags could score in the final three innings of the game, and the two teams finished the game in a 3-3 tie Sunday in Fort Myers.

Kelyn Dermaine Fox (2018, Bartow HS, FL) drove in a run and recorded a single, while Charlie Vari (2017, Wesley Chapel HS, FL) added one run batted in. Jamarcus Lyons (2018, King HS, FL) recorded the other hit, while BJ Carter (2017, Blake HS, FL) scored a pair of runs in the tie.

Fox worked 3.1 scoreless, hitless innings for the Angels, striking out three hitters. His fastball topped out at 71 mph.

Eric Robinson (2017, TC Roberson HS, NC), Chance Howard (2018, Rosewood HS, NC), and Riley Cameron (2017, Union Pines HS, NC) each drove in one run with a single, and KJ Wells (2018, Western Alamance HS, NC) added a single of his own. Florida Pokers Rally in Seventh for 5-1 Win

Florida Pokers scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning, rallying from a 1-0 deficit to claim a 5-1 victory over CT Combat in Fort Myers on Sunday.

Eddie Ayala (2017, Taravella HS, FL) drove in three runs with a double and a triple to lead the Pokers offense. Robert Joy (2017, Coral Glades HS, FL) and Chris Ruckdeschel (2017, St. Thomas Aquinas HS, FL) each drove in a run. Jaret Kappelman (2017, St. Thomas Aquinas HS, FL) added a single and a run scored in the Pokers victory.

Christian Scott (2018, Calvary Christian Academy, FL) tossed a complete game for the Pokers, striking out eight hitters with just one run allowed. His fastball topped out at 81 mph.

The sole Combat run was driven in by John Nolan (2015, Windsor HS, CT) and scored by Niko Droukas (2017, Brookfield HS, CT). The team’s hits were provided by Nolan, Elijah Spataj (2017, Cheshire HS, CT), and Adrian Valez (2017, Crosby HS, CT), who doubled.

Dig In Baseball Fires Combined No-Hitter

Dig In Baseball pitchers Michael Campbell (2018, St. John’s College HS, MD) and JP Walsh (2018, Georgetown Preparatory School, MD) combined on a no-hitter, and led Dig In to a 12-0 victory over Xtreme Baseball 14U in Fort Myers on Sunday.

Campbell fired four innings for Dig In with five strikeouts, while Walsh tossed one inning with two strikeouts. Campbell’s fastball topped out at 72 mph, and Walsh’s fastball peaked at 79 mph.

Ethan Forbes (2018, St. John’s College HS, MD), Walsh, and Zeke Maldonado (2017, Centennial HS, MD) each drove in two runs to lead the Dig In offense. Forbes and Maldonado led the team with two singles apiece, while Maldonado, Conner Nurse (2017, Washington HS, WV), and Jacob Steinberg (2018, St. John’s College HS, MD) scored two runs each in the victory.

The Central Florida Gators used early run support, as they went on to defeat West Coast Mariners, 5-3.

Leadoff hitter Slade Cecconi (2018, Trinity Preparatory, FL) went 2-3 with a double and a single in the game.  Tommy Ben (2017, Atlantic Coast HS, FL) went 2-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.  Mason Denaburg (2018, Merritt Island HS, FL) contributed with a 2-3 performance, with two singles and one run in the contest.

On the mound, Connor Ollio (2018, Butler Area HS, PA) pitched 6.1 innings of work, giving up two earned runs on just three hits, and struck out nine.  He had a good fastball that averaged 81-83 mph and topped out at 85 mph, while also mixing in a handful of curveballs and a few changeups for his off-speed pitches.

For the Mariners, Halden Bjornson (2018, Lakeridge HS, OR) went 1-3 with a double, and two RBIs.  Willie Cano (2018, Mesquite HS, AZ) went 1-3 with a single, and one run scored, Jordan Duenas (2017, Bremerton HS, WA) went 1-3 as well with a single and one RBI.

Malik Spratling (2017, Lee County HS, GA) went 2-3 at the plate, with two singles and two runs scored in the game.  Leyton Pinckney (2018, Veterans HS, GA) went 2-3 as well, with a double, single, two runs, and one RBI.  Milton Watson (2018, Taylor County HS, GA) went 1-3 with a double of his own, one run, and three RBIs.  Jason Shirley (2017, Niceville Senior HS, FL) also contributed with a double and three RBIs in the contest.

Austin Becker (2017, Big Walnut HS, OH) led the way, going a perfect 4-4 at the plate, with four singles, one run and two RBIs in the game.  Elijah Spataj (2017, Cheshire HS, CT) went 2-4 with two singles, one run and two RBIs as well.  William Gersky (2018, Choate Rosemary Hall, CT) contributed with a triple, two runs and one RBI.

Michael Wisniak (2017, Undecided, CT) pitched a complete game, giving up three earned runs on six hits, and struck out one, in six complete innings of work.  He had a fastball that peaked at 78 mph, and mixed in a couple of curveballs for his off-speed pitches.

The Miami Suns defeated the Dirtbags, 5-3, thanks to some early run support, and held off a late rally in the end by the Dirtbags.

Henry Anthony Vilar (2018, Slam Charter HS, FL) went 1-1 at the plate, with a single, two runs, and one RBI in the game.  Triston Casas (2018, Florida Vertual HS, FL) went 1-1 as well, with a single, one run and two RBIs.  Kevin Mauras (2018, Miami Coral Park HS, FL) went 1-2 with a single, and one RBI.

Aidan Frye (2018, Souderton Area HS, PA) pitched a complete game, giving up three earned runs on nine hits, and struck out five, in six complete innings of work.  He had a fastball that topped out at 80 mph, and mixed in a handful of curveballs and changeups for his off-speed pitches.

Florida Pokers scored five runs in the fourth inning to break a 3-3 tie, and claimed a 9-4 victory over Dirtbags in Fort Myers on Saturday.

CJ Calero (2018, Miami Senior HS, FL) drove in two runs for the Pokers, adding a double and a run scored. The other runs driven in were provided by Eddie Ayala (2017, JP Taravella HS, FL), Chris Ruckdeschel (2017, St. Thomas Aquinas HS, FL), Jake Buxbaum (2017, St. Thomas Aquinas HS, FL), and Kyle Benson (2017, St. Thomas Aquinas HS, FL). Jaret Kappelman (2017, St. Thomas Aquinas HS, FL) and Anthony Rodriguez (2018, Somerset Academy Charter, FL) added two runs scored in the victory.

Daniel Matos (2018, Archbishop McCarthy HS, FL) did not allow an earned run over 2.1 innings on the mound, and struck out one hitter. His fastball topped out at 74 mph.

Chadd Heersema (2018, Gulf Coast HS, FL) led the SWFL Canes offense with three runs batted in and three singles, also scoring a run. Chris Schrowe (2017, Ida Baker HS, FL), Kody Bryson, and John Dwyer (2017, Bishop Verot HS, FL) each drove in one run, while Luke Endsley (2017, Ida Baker HS, FL) and Dominic LeFever (2017, North Port HS, FL) each recorded a pair of hits.

Ivan Cotto (2017, Fort Myers HS, FL) allowed just one hit over three innings, striking out three hitters. His fastball topped out at 75 mph.

Runs were driven in for the Angels by Colton Bierly (2017, Wesley Chapel HS, FL), BJ Carter (2017, Blake HS, FL), Hunter Morales (2018, Bartow HS, FL), and Lucus Shannon (2018, Kathleen HS, FL). Addison Barger (2018, Homeschool, FL) added a pair of singles in the tie.

Nicolas Montes (2018, Life Skills Center Miami-Dade County, FL) and Edward Deskow each drove in a run for the Suns, while Tyler Grant (2018, Gulliver Schools, FL) scored a team-high two runs. A double was recorded by Henry Anthony Vilar (2018, Slam Charter School, FL), Kevin Mauras (2018, Miami Coral Park HS, FL), and Ihosany Castaneda (2017, Monsignor Pace HS, FL) in the win.

Dig In Baseball scored the first five runs of the game, and held on for a 5-3 victory over Elite Squad Baseball in Fort Myers on Saturday.

Drew Ehrlich (2017, Gilman HS, MD) and Wesley Clarke (2018, Liberty Christian Academy, VA) led the Dig In offense, as both players drove in two runs with a double. Ehrlich accounted for three of the team’s five hits. JP Walsh (2018, Georgetown Preparatory School, MD) added the other hit, a single, in the Dig In victory.

Jacob Steinberg (2018, St. John’s College HS, MD) worked three hitless, scoreless innings to pick up the win for Dig In Baseball. He struck out two hitters, and his fastball topped out at 83 mph.
