Jakob Davidson (2015 C, Amador Valley HS, Pleasanton, CA) put an exclamation point on a 2-for-3 showing, by crushing a single that left the bat at 96 mph back up the middle for a single in the final at-bat of the showcase.
Right hander Kyle Lucke (2015, Oak Ridge HS, El Dorado Hills, CA) threw three impressive innings, striking out four and allowing just two hits over three scoreless innings while running his fastball up to 85. He featured a sharp slider and a slow 12-6 curveball.
Right hander Bradley Nightengale (2015, Central HS, Gustine, CA) struck out six while allowing just one run over four innings, topping out at 81 with a solid low 70s slider.
Blake Harrison (2017 OF/RHP, San Ramon Valley HS, Danville, CA) continued his impressive showing this weekend by taking the mound as a secondary pitcher and running his fastball up to 83. He also went 2-for-3 with a double and was one of the top underclassmen in attendance.
Jerry Carroll (2015 OF, Ashland HS, OR) went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base.
John Bergeson (2015 OF/3B, Menlo HS, Portola Valley, CA) went 2-for-3 with a pair of stolen base and runs scored, doing a good job of reading the pitcher's first move and getting big jumps on the steals.
Michael Bowes (2015 OF, Bellarmine Prep, Los Altos, CA) went 2-for-3 with an RBI triple, a stolen base and a run scored.

AJ Curtis (2015 CIF, Amador Valley HS, Pleasanton, CA)
provided the biggest offensive fireworks of the game. He went 3-for-3
with two doubles and two runs scored and he lit up the radar gun with
exit velocities of 93 and 95 mph on his doubles with power to both gaps,
He showed the best in-game power over the two game sample of the entire
80+ player showcase.
Right hander Bret De Guess (2015, Pleasanton, CA) matched the event's top velocity, running his fastball up to 86 mph. He features a quick arm that projects well with a smooth balanced delivery and a solid three pitch mix that included a sharp breaking sweeping breaking ball in the mid 70s and an upper 70s changeup with good fading action.
Right hander Kyle Mora (2015, Archbishop Mitty HS, San Jose, CA) racked up six strikeout as the starter for the Red team. Mora sat 81-85 with his fastball and released both of his offspeed pitches from the same slot, with a curveball up to 73 and a changeup up to 74.
Tim O'Daleigh (2016 OF/LHP, Arroyo HS, San Lorenzo, CA) had impressed throughout the showcase as an outfield prospect and he added value to his prospect profile by taking the mound as a secondary pitcher and sitting 80-84. It should come as no surprise given that his loose arm action was on display in the outfield but to see it translate so seamlessly with the ability to throw consistent strikes and work in an upper 60s curveball suggests he could be a two-way player at the college level. He retired all six batters he faced and struck out three in his two innings.
Kyle Cuellar (2015 OF/MIF, La Salle HS, Arcadia, CA) was another position player who had been making a strong impression with the bat and glove before showing that the arm translates to the mound as well. Cuellar topped out at 84 mph and struck out a pair while allowing no runs on two hits in two innings. More importantly he went 2-for-2 with a sac fly RBI and an RBI double and took his best swings against the higher velocity pitchers he faced.
Cole Goetz (2015 OF, Foothill HS, Dublin, CA) went 2-for-3 with a triple and scored two runs and showed a compact swing.
Connor Barrett (2015 RHP, Leigh HS, San Jose, CA) had a productive game, getting the start on the mound and running his fastball up to 80 mph and showed a clean stroke at the plate going 2-for-2.
William Harris (2015 OF, Wheat Ridge HS, Golden, CO) had a very impressive final at-bat of the showcase, crushing a ball into the oppo gap for a single and then promptly stealing second base. He also filled in on the mound and ran his fastball up to 80.
Mark Johnson (2015 OF/MIF, Jesse Bethel HS, Vallejo, CA) capped off his strong showing this weekend by going 2-for-2 with a triple and a stolen base.
George Chenart (2016 OF, American Canyon HS, Vallejo, CA) went 2-for-3 with an RBI double that came off the bat at 84 mph.
James Sfiligoj (2015 1B, Western HS, Cypress, CA) showed the ability to translate the available strength and leverage that his hulking frame offers by tearing into a couple of balls hard for a pair of hits.
Joeseph Salazar (2015 2B, Deer Valley HS, Antioch, CA) filled up the box score, going 3-for-3 with a run, an RBI and a stolen base.

Jake Dent (2015 RHP, Pinole Valley HS, Pinole, CA) was the most impressive pitcher not only of the game but of day one at the Northern California Showcase. He pounded the zone at 84-86 in the early going and worked in the low-mid 80s throughout his four innings of work. He paired it with a hard spinning mid 70s breaking ball with a clean arm action and a balanced delivery. He showed solid command of both pitches and created arm side run on his fastball. He allowed just one hit and struck out four in four innings.
Shane Dalton (2017 OF, Campolindo HS, Orinda, CA) went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles and showed a loose swing from a relaxed approach in the batter's box and a solid approach. His hitting tools project well.
Braxton King (2015 CIF, California HS, Danville, CA) had the hardest hit ball of the day, blasting a ball back through the box that came off the bat at 91 mph.
Christian Jones (2016 OF, Bentley HS, Alamo, CA) roped a double that left the bat at 83 mph and showed solid speed getting to first in 4.7 seconds with a wide turn. His combination of room to fill and present athleticism bode well for his future development.
Josh Nelson (2016 RHP/OF, College Park HS, Pleasant Hill, CA) ran his fastball up to 82 mph with a clean arm action and flashed sharpness on his curveball and he struck out seven in four shutout innings in addition to going 1-for-2 at the plate.
Mitch Sancier (2015 C, Westmont HS, Campbell, CA) went 1-for-2 with an RBI double he blasted over the left fielders head and would come around to score.
Roberto Diaz (2016 MIF, Jesse Bethel HS, Vallejo, CA) followed up his RBI single by stealing second base and showed an all around aggressive approach to every phase of the game.
Mark Quinby (2015 OF, Valley Christian HS, Gilroy, CA) took an 0-for-3 at the plate but was still impressive, making two loud outs on deep fly balls and showing good all around hustle.
Red vs White Highlights

The top arm of the game was right hander Dominic Defrancesco (2015, Dos Palos HS, Firebaugh, CA). Defrancesco sat 79-84 with a compact arm action that allowed him to hide the baseball well and created angle from the third base side, he spun a quality mid 70s curveball as well.
Daniel Killingsworth (2017 3B/C, Jesse Bethel HS, Vallejo, CA) had an RBI single and would come around to score a run utilizing a short swing in a 1-for-2 performance at the plate.
Carter Hayes (2016 3B, Carmel HS, CA) showed an impressive approach. He seemingly allowed an inside pitch to graze off of his arm early in the count in order to get into a fastball only situation where he then teed off on an RBI single. He also made loud out in his second at-bat, with a flyball that hung for 5.5 seconds.
Garrison Griesdale (2015 RHP/3B, Bellarmine Prep, Morgan Hill, CA) had a 2-for-2 showing at the plate with a double, a run scored and a stolen base in addition to getting the start on the mound and working in the mid 70s.
Taylor Garcia (2015 MIF, Capital Christian HS, Folsom, CA) blasted an RBI triple in his second at-bat and would come in to score a run and also made a nice defensive play going to his right.
Jakob Davidson (2015 C, Amador Valley HS, Pleasanton, CA) cushed a triple off the left center field fence with a loud sound at contact.
Jacob Medina (2015 C, Arroyo HS, San Lorenzo, CA) went 2-for-3 with a double and a triple including a deep drive to left center that left the bat at 84 mph.
Garrett Lake (2017 OF, Coronado HS, Henderson, NV) made a spectacular diving catch at full extension in center field and connected on a triple off the fence in right field.
Mark Johnson (2015 OF/MIF, Jesse Bethel HS, Vallejo, CA) went 2-for-3 with a run, an RBI, a double and a stolen base. Johnson is a good athlete who showed quick hands at the plate and good speed on the bases.
Workout Highlights

Ray Soderman (2015 C, San Ramon Valley HS, Danville, CA) showed off the most impressive arm of the day from behind the plate in the catcher workout. He posted an event best 1.94 pop time and threw 74 mph with a solid release time on his throws and can get more use of his lower half to create additional velocity on his throws.
Josh Nelson (2016 RHP/OF, College Park HS, Pleasant Hill, CA) showed off one of the quickest arms of the day, throwing 85 mph in the outfield workout with a long loose whippy arm action and accurate throws.
Mark Quinby (2015 OF, Valley Christian HS, Gilroy, CA) threw an event best 88 mph from the outfield and did so with good accuracy from a short arm action.
Roberto Diaz (2016 MIF, Jesse Bethel HS, Vallejo, CA) showed good carry and a very quick release on his throws to go with well coordinated actions.
William Harris (2015 OF, Wheat Ridge HS, Golden, CO) showed impressive defensive actions in the outfield, moving well with long coordinated strides and a long quick arm action with remaining projection to his arm strength.
Kyle Cuellar (2015 OF/MIF, La Salle HS, Arcadia, CA) showed a quick loose arm from the outfield tying the event's best velocity by throwing 88 mph.
Blake Harrison (2017 OF, San Ramon Valley HS, Danville, CA) was one of the top underclassmen in the outfield workout, showing a good combination of youth and coordination throwing 80 mph with a short arm action with more to come.
The best catcher velocity of the event belonged to Mitch Sancier (2015 C/3B, Westmont HS, Campbell, CA). Sancier threw 78 mph with good carry on his throws and a quick arm.
Jerry Carroll (2015 OF, Ashland HS, OR) showed good energy to his defensive actions, getting to the baseball quickly and showing off solid arm strength on his throws (84 mph) in the outfield workout.
Tim O'Dalaigh (2016 OF, Arroyo HS, San Lorenzo, CA) showed a clean arm action with accurate online throws and an arm that projects well.
BP Highlights

There were several talented hitters who showed off their ability during BP at the Northern California Showcase, but the only Home Run of the day belonged to AJ Curtis (2015 CIF, Amador Valley HS, Pleasanton, CA). Curtis showed good bat speed with power to the pullside from a linear hitting approach that includes a long stride and late lift.
Mark Quinby (2015 OF, Valley Christian HS, Gilroy, CA) had one of the most impressive rounds in BP. He utilized a short compact swing that generates bat speed without selling out control of the barrel or creating additional length to his hand path and it should translate seamlessly to his game at-bats. While he didn't quite leave the yard he did wear out the warning track in left and center field, particularly in the gap, with a short compact well controlled swing.
Ray Soderman (2015 C/3B, Sam Ramon Valley HS, Danville, CA) showed off quality bat speed to go with his physical strength and made some of the loudest contact of the day with an aggressive swing that creates pullside power.
Mitch Sancier (2015 C/3B, Westmont HS, Campbell, CA) utilized his lower half well to create leverage and allow the ball to carry well off of his bat with good extension through contact.
Isaiah Garcia (2015 MIF, Lincoln HS, CA) utilized a buggy whip swing to drive the ball to the pullside with authority and hit a foul ball that had home run distance.
Taylor Garcia (2015 MIF, Capital Christian HS, Folsom, CA) showed the best all fields power, utilizing a long loose swing that projects for additional bat speed development he drove the ball with authority to all parts of the yard.
Tim O'Dalaigh (2016 OF, Arroyo HS, San Lorenzo, CA) was the top underclassman of BP, showing off pullside power with an uppercut swing and solid bat speed from a long loose swing.
