2017 Top Prospects

Victor Florentino  OF - 2017 - Tampa, FL
Florida Southwestern State College

Florentino is an athletically gifted, powerfully built toolsy outfielder who can drive the ball. His quick movements in the OF and ability to field and throw in rhythm, make him a plus prospect defensively. His ability to get his bat on plane with a quick load and slight lift at contact helps him drive the ball with plus power to the deepest parts of the park.


2018 Top Prospects

Marc Davis  RHP - 2018 - Lilburn, GA
Florida Southwestern State College

Davis shows three projectable and highly advanced pitches. The 6-foot03, 190-pound Lilburn, GA native shows a heavy, boring two-seam fastball that sits in the 90-91 mph range. He complements his active heater with a pro ready 12-to 6 hammer of a curveball that he ably adds ad subtracts velocity on. His tumbling, 81 mph change-up completes his advanced repertoire.


2019 Top Prospects

Orion Kerkering  RHP - 2019 - Nokomis, FL
South Florida

6-foot-2, 190-pound righthander, Orion Kerkering was extremely impressive with a sound and advanced two-pitch mix that was on full display during his 30-pitch outing. His whippy, quick arm stroke and deceptive mechanics made for a few very uncomfortable at-bats. His fastball, that showed heavy, boring arm-side run and sink sat in the 89-91 mph range. His wipe out, late and quick breaking 80-82 mph slider was a knee-buckler that is a very projectable out-pitch.

Austen Kessler  RHP - 2019 - Bradenton, FL
State College of Florida

A broad shouldered and barrel-chested 6-foot-4, 235-pound power righthanded pitcher, Kessler looks the part of future professional starter. He pitches off of an impressive four-seam fastball that routinely sat in the 90-93 mph range. His heater showed explosive late riding life. His tight spinning 12-to-6 curveball showed late action and depth at the dish and was a great complement to his almost unhittable FB.

Leon Paulino  OF - 2019 - Hollywood, FL
Florida International

Although he did not field and throw from the OF due to his impending Fenway Park pre-draft workout for the Red Sox, the switch hitting Paulino put on an impressive display during batting practice. His natural raw power from both sides made many in attendance stop and take notice, The twitchy and strong FIU commit is a very projectable talent with a bat in his hands.

Jose Fulgencio  SS - 2019 - Orlando, FL
Hillsborough CC

The athletic and twitchy, the 6-foot, 172-pound Fulgencio is a slick fielding and strong armed middle infielder who possesses all the tools to play defense at a high level. His ability to also get his barrel to the ball consistently and hit line drives to the gaps, will certainly allow him to use his projectable speed.

Johnny Long III  C - 2019 - Naples, FL
Florida Gulf Coast

Long is a sure-handed, smooth receiving backstop who displays plus skills behind the plate. He is quiet and easy with the glove and makes a quick and positive transition. His quick trigger allows him to display his above average arm strength. His throws are consistently on-line. He also can swing the stick. His quick and easy load allows him to get his strong hands and solid lower half into his swing. He has a fairly flat path and looks to drive the ball from gap-to-gap.


2020 Top Prospects

Alex Freeland  SS - 2020 - Cape Coral, FL
University of Central Florida

The 2020 draft eligible Freeland shows polished and smooth actions on the infield. His first step read and quick lateral movements allow him to position with positive momentum and get his throws on line in a hurry. His switch-hitting stroke is line-drive oriented from both sides and is geared to drive the ball to both gaps with authority.
