Reached 84 mph with his fastball and showed big arm side movement through the zone. Projects to have more velocity down the road.

Showed solid footwork behind the plate, but really stood out at the plate. Showcased one of the quickest bats at the event and handled live pitching well.

Long arm action, fastball topped at 83 pitching downhill, fastball also showed cutting action. Also showed 2 seam in low high 70's, low 80's that ran. Has deceptive delivery.


2017 Top Prospects

Quentin Holmes  OF - 2017 - East Elmhurst, NY
Mississippi State

Holmes showed a combination of speed on the bases and bat speed that made him the standout 2017 of the event. His bat needs to be watched very closely.
