A consistent game action performer, Warken has good bat speed that produces hard line drives to all fields. He also impressed behind the plate with quick feet and a strong throwing arm.

Zach Diewert  OF - 2015 - Chemainus, BC CAN

A powerful right-handed hitter, Diewart showed big carry and lift that translated in game action. He has good bat speed and knows how to handle the pitch inside. He also showed good athleticism, running a 6.90 60 yard dash.

Auggie Francis  OF - 2015 - Meridian, ID
New Mexico Highlands

Cooper Misic  RHP - 2015 - Surrey, BC CAN
Galveston College

Misic looks the part of the prospect pitcher at 6-6/190 and has a loose arm that produced a consistent 81-83 mph fastball that he spotted well. He's going to keep improving as he gets stronger.

Austin Holcomb  3B - 2015 - Woodland, WA
Uncommitted

Holcomb is a switch hitter with good present strength and one of the best hitters at the showcase. He consistently drove the ball hard from both sides of the plate.

Vinny Guinasso  C - 2015 - Bellevue, WA

An athletic catcher with quick actions, Guinasso ran a 6.89 60 yard dash time and posted a 1.98 pop time behind the plate. He also showed the ability to hit line drives to all parts of the field.

Parker DePasquale  RHP - 2015 - Salt Lake City, UT
Texas A&M/Yakima Valley CC

DePasquale is a nice all around player who looked equally accomplished defensively in the infield, at the plate as a strong right handed hitter and as a deceptive right handed pitcher with a low 80's fastball and big breaking ball.

Malacki Ginner  RHP - 2015 - Eagle, ID
Uncommitted

Ginner has an extra large 6-3/235 pound build and plenty of present strength. He topped out at 80 mph on the mound as a primary right handed pitcher but graded out much higher as a hitter, with an advanced ability to barrel up the ball hard to the middle of the field.

Patrick Van Den Brink  RHP - 2015 - Surrey, BC CAN
University of British Columbia

Van Den Brink is a classic sinker/slider pitcher and his 74 mph slider might have been the best breaking ball at the showcase, with late, hard biting action. His low 80's fastball gets plenty of consistent sink. Van Den Brink also showed good power at the plate as a potential two-way prospect.

Trey Reinhard  RHP - 2015 - Maple Valley, WA
Uncommitted

Reinhard isn't very physical at 5-7/145 but he has all the attributes of an offensive second baseman. He has an aggressive swing approach from the left side and surprising bat speed and power to the gaps. He also was sure handed and smooth defensively at second base.

2016 Top Prospects

AJ Block  LHP - 2016 - Bellevue, WA
Washington State

Block is a very loose and projectable 6-5/180 southpaw with a baby face that makes him look 14 years old. He topped out at 80 mph but has lots more velocity in his arm. Blocks upper 60's curveball is a major weapon, with hard spin and big 12/6 downer shape.

JJ Asinas  RHP - 2016 - Federal Way, WA
Central Washington University

Asinas has lots of tools on both sides of the ball, including an 83 mph fastball that should continue to improve, 7.1 speed in the sixty and lots of bat speed. When he learns to relax and let the game come to him, his skills are going to rapidly improve.

Elliot Carney  RHP - 2016 - Sammamish, WA
Uncommitted

An excellent game action performer who also touched 78 mph on the mound, Carney showed off game usable power and above average bat speed from the right side. He may have been the event's top game hitter.

Trevor Clark  RHP - 2016 - East Wenatchee, WA
Shoreline CC

Clark pounded the bottom of the strike zone with a heavy 83 mph fastball from a sharp downhill angle. His curveball also showed good depth and bite at times and he created lots of swing/miss with both pitches.

Matt Hicks  LHP - 2016 - Bend, OR

Seattle

Showcasing an above average arm from behind the plate, Waterman threw the ball well in game action and showed sound receiving skills. He posted a 1.97 pop time and flashed good bat speed from the right side.

2017 Top Prospects

Ryan Funk  C - 2017 - Sisters, OR
Lower Columbia College

The 5-11/197 Funk is extra strong for a sophomore and it shows in his bat speed and raw power. The ball comes off his barrel hard and rocketed up the gaps a couple of times.

Blake Loftus  OF - 2017 - Kennewick, WA
Walla Walla CC

Loftus ran a 6.71 sixty, an outstanding time for a 2017, and showed lots of quick twitch actions. He also showed good instincts and actions in the middle of the field on defense.

Jon Fortner  RHP - 2017 - Portland, OR
High Point

Fortner has a long and loose 6-2/165 build and very projectable raw stuff. He topped out in the low 80's with a pretty good ability to spin the ball and should continue to improve as he gets stronger and more physically mature.

Cameron MacIntosh  SS - 2017 - Fox Island, WA
Tacoma CC

MacIntosh is very polished on both sides of the ball for a sophomore and that stood out during the games. He has an advanced instinctive baseball clock and never seemed rushed or off balance either defensively in the middle infield or at the plate.
