2015 Top Prospects

Mark Rodriguez  RHP - 2015 - Orlando, FL
Uncommitted

Rodriguez had one of the more impressive outings on the mound, working consistently 86-89 with his fastball while commanding it to both sides of the plate. He sports an excellent pitcher's frame, from which he delivers that very good fastball to go along with bat-missing off speed stuff.


2016 Top Prospects

Max Guzman  C - 2016 - Miami, FL
Florida International/Chipola College

A strongly built righthanded bat, Guzman showed explosive hands and big time bat speed to go along with his power to all fields and big lift at contact. Defensively, he showed off his both behind the plate where he received well and at first base where his 88 mph throws were on display.

Jordan Balazovic  RHP - 2016 - Mississauga, ON CAN
Auburn

Balazovic has made big strides since Perfect Game last saw the projectable righthander. Now listed at 6-foot-4, 175-pounds, Balazovic employs a long and fluid arm action while showing the ability to work down to both sides of the plate with a fastball that worked 86-89 mph, touching 90 while flashing a nice slider at 77 mph.

Michael Feliz  SS - 2016 - Englewood Cliffs, NJ
Notre Dame

Feliz continues to improve his all around game and once again stood out on the field.With a physical build, Feliz threw an impressive 91 from the outfield before showing smooth actions and range at shortstop where he threw 88 mph across. His right-handed bat offers plenty of bat speed and shows the ability to line the ball to all parts of the field.

Wade Walton  RHP - 2016 - Port Saint Lucie, FL
St. Petersburg College

Everything Walton did over the weekend involved power. Setting the record for first base throws with a 92 mph strike across, Walton then jumped on the mound where he sat 86-88 mph and displayed big right-handed power in the batter's box with a short and easy swing with plenty of lift and strength.

Luis Colon  C - 2016 - San Juan, PR
Uncommitted

Luis Colon put together a solid overall showcase and performed well in several areas. Running 6.59 60-yard, Colon moved well on his feet in both the infield and outfield, showing a smooth arm action and easy release on his throws (91 from outfield, 88 shortstop). He was up to 88 mph on the mound and showed solid lift in his swing to all parts of the field with nice extension.

Thomas Spinelli  LHP - 2016 - Ocala, FL
Mississippi

A tall lefthander and Mississippi commit, Spinelli worked comfortably in the 87-89 mph range from a higher arm slot and located well to his arm side with his fastball. He showed a straight change at 82 mph and a slider at 77 mph, generating swings and misses with all three while moving his pitches throughout the zone.

Brian Rey  OF - 2016 - Deltona, FL
North Carolina State/Miami-Dade College

Full of quick twitch muscle, the University of North Florida commit ran a 6.91 60-yard and impressed defensively with a quick release, soft hands and an arm that produced a 90 mph throw. He shows a nice feel in the box smacking line drives to both gaps with solid bat speed.

Christian Coipel  IF - 2016 - Miami, FL
Jacksonville

Coipel has a long and projectable frame standing at 6-foot-4 and moves with fluidity both in the outfield and at first base, showing impressive arm strength with an easy arm action. His left-handed swing is equally as impressive, showing strong carry to his pull side and projects all around.

Morgan Harrison  RHP - 2016 - Lakeland, FL
Air Force

Harrison showed a very fast arm on the mound that led to mid-upper 80's velocity, topping out at 90 MPH to go along with a sharp, tilting slider and a fading changeup while working 4 easy innings.

Santino Miozzi  C - 2016 - Orlando, FL
Florida/Florida Southwestern State College

Miozzi really impressed defensively, showing smooth actions behind the plate, popping 1.87 seconds, and throwing 81 MPH. Also showed projectable power potential to go along with a simple swing and good contact skills.

Juan D. Torres  SS - 2016 - Orocovis, PR
Uncommitted

Torres showed plus defensive potential, combining quick feet and lightning fast hands with a very strong arm, throwing 87 across the infield. Hits to all fields with a quick stroke that produces lots of line drives.

Elliot Jared Antonetty  C - 2016 - Gurabo, PR
Jackson State

Antonetty was very impressive behind the plate defensively, consistently showing quickness and agility to go along with a very strong, accurate arm (popped 1.93, threw 81 MPH). Also threw 85 from the outfield and showed off impressive power potential with the bat.

Michael Harkcom  3B - 2016 - Debary, FL
Florida International

Harkcom showed legitimate two-way potential, putting on a good display defensively (threw 89 across the infield) while working in the mid 80's on the mound (topped at 87) to go along with quality off speed stuff from an athletic frame.

Raymond Hernandez  OF - 2016 - Barceloneta, PR
Uncommitted

Hernandez showed one of the more impressive tool sets, running a 6.45 60 yard dash and throwing 88 MPH from the outfield to go along with solid contact skills with the bat.

Kevin Lambert  SS - 2016 - Palm Harbor, FL
Western Kentucky

Lambert showed that his right-handed swing plays in game action along with in BP, hitting a home run against live pitching while generating nice extension in his swing. He's a solid athlete at 6-foot-3, running a 6.87 60-yard while showing strength on his throws with a quick release.

Wesley Reyes  SS - 2016 - Bayamon, PR
Jackson State

Reyes showcased some serious arm strength, throwing 91 from the outfield and 88 across the infield; to go along with good athleticism (6.96 60) and a smooth, compact stroke with the bat.

Gabriel Sotomayor  RHP - 2016 - Lawton, OK
Kansas

Impressive arm strength on the mound, topping at 88 MPH from a loose, projectable frame and arm action. Showed consistent mid-upper 80's velocity with a sharp slider along with developing curveball and changeup. Also showed off athleticism by running a 6.97 60.

Brandon White  OF - 2016 - Winter Springs, FL
West Virginia

White showed off some loud tools, running a 6.90 60, throwing 90 from the OF, and working in the mid 80's (topping at 87) on the mound; all to go along with projectable power potential at bat.


2017 Top Prospects

Mason Doolittle  C - 2017 - Jupiter, FL
Appalachian State/Palm Beach State

Doolittle showed off his defensive prowess throughout the weekend, controlling his long 6-foot-3 frame well while demonstrating solid catch and throw skills. His hands are soft and his release is quick, complemented by a strong right arm. He projects well with the bat, already showing a quick path to the ball with fluidity in his swing.

Micheal Pelaez  1B - 2017 - Tampa, FL
Uncommitted

A great-sized prospect, Pelaez working a quick inning by pounding 87-89 MPH fastballs to both sides of the plate, while also touching 90 MPH. Showcased very strong arm during IF drills as well, throwing 86 across the diamond.

Andres Santana  OF - 2017 - Miami, FL
Florida International

Showing off speed and arm strength by running a 6.89 60 and throwing 89 MPH across the IF, Santana also showed well with the bat, by flashing very good hands to go with excellent extension through contact with developing power.

Nicolas Fusco  LHP - 2017 - North Miami, FL
High Point

Justing wrapping up his sophomore year of high school, Fusco jumped on the mound and worked in the 83-85 mph range early with his fastball, touching as high as 86 while showing some life down in the zone to his arm side. He projects physically and already has a feel for both a curveball and slider while flashing a changeup in the low-70s.

Tyler Paige  SS - 2017 - Miami, FL
Miami

A middle infield prospect, Paige shows a strong arm across as he recorded his top throw of 86 mph across the diamond, showing sound footwork and nice instincts up the middle. Using his strength, Paige showed all his strength with the bat all weekend consistently getting the barrel to the barrel to the ball resulting in hard line drive contact.

Max Pinto  OF - 2017 - Miami, FL
Samford

A very athletic, toolsy prospect; Pinto ran a 6.87 60 and threw 87 MPH from the outfield, while showing a quick stroke with projectable power from both sides of the plate.

Tyler Ward  1B - 2017 - Palm Beach Gardens, FL
Air Force

Ward combines great, projectable size with a strong arm (threw 83 from the outfield) to go along with good hitting tools, resulting in consistent hard linedrive contact throughout both batting practice and games.


2018 Top Prospects

Xavier Edwards  SS - 2018 - Wellington, FL
Vanderbilt

Edwards continues to play at an exceptionally high level at Perfect Game showcases and this weekend was no different. After running a 6.65 60-yard, Edwards showed off his silky smooth defensive actions at shortstop before putting his hit tool on display from both sides, creating solid contact and feel for the barrel.

Raynel Delgado  SS - 2018 - Miami Lakes, FL
Florida International

A switch-hitting middle infield prospect, Delgado showed projectable tools on all fronts. He moves well defensively and shows range up the middle with a strong arm and also handles the barrel well from both sides, showing a fluid stroke with solid line drive contact.

Nander De Sedas  SS - 2018 - Montverde, FL
Florida State

With a lean, projectable 6-foot-1 frame, De Sedas shows solid footwork and defensive actions, remaining balanced through the play while showing a strong arm across the diamond (86 mph across). He stays balanced through his swing well and shows the ability and comfort to hit to all fields.

Yordy Cabrera  RHP - 2018 - Miami, FL
Palm Beach State

With a strong yet projectable build, the young right-hander sat comfortably in the 81-83 mph with his fastball, showing a loose and fluid arm action with solid life feel for the strike zone. He threw all three pitches for strikes, including his changeup at 73 and slider at 71 which featured tight rotation.

Angel Tiburcio  RHP - 2018 - Wellington, FL
Florida International

XL frame with very good present strength, shows excellent bat speed and very good power when hitting. Showed off arm strength by throwing 83 across the infield and was up to 84 on the mound.


Free Agents Top Prospects

Carlos Pineyro  OF - Free Agents - Santo Domingo, DOM DOM

Pineyro had a solid all around showcase, recording an event best 92 mph throw from the outfield, ran a 6.78 60-yard, and put on an impressive display in batting practice with a fluid swing and strength to all fields.
