Ralph Keppler is a 2008 C with a 6', 217 lb frame from Rockville Centre, NY who attends Oceanside HS. Was sick at event. Ralph has a thick well-developed build and hits from both sides of the plate. He looks better from the right side where he shows solid bat speed and some power potential. He tends to pull off the ball hard from both sides of the plate which really gives him trouble making consistent solid contact. Once he improves his balance and leverage he will see much better results. Behind the plate Ralph is a solid receiver with good footwork. His arm strength is average and just needs to keep working on his transfer. Ralph is a strong student that should attract the attention of some smaller colleges.
PG Grade 6.5
