Williams showed some of the best athletic tools at the PG National and was unquestionably one of the top 2 defensive outfielders at the event. He’s an accomplished multi-sport athlete and played the game with a smoothness that makes you want to see him on the basketball court or football field, too. Williams showed his running speed in a variety of ways in Lincoln. He ran a 6.74 60, got down to first base in 4.25 on a full swing and even dropped down a beauty of a bunt, running a 3.83. You don’t see many bunts at showcase events but Williams definitely showed off some skill and raw tools, along with a little bit of savvy. Williams also showed his speed in the outfield, making one spectacular diving catch coming in and showing very good range on balls to each side. Williams’ arm is solid big league average and although he played in right field in Lincoln, there’s no reason he can’t excel in centerfield as well. The one area where Williams will have to improve is with his bat. His bat speed with wood is below average and he has a contact/feel for the ball approach at the plate. With his athletic ability, Williams should be able to ratchet up his bat speed and approach with more repetitions. His swing looks very good fundamentally, he’s been taught well. He will hit at the next level and he has a future in professional baseball. Kory is a good student.

Kori is a top "04" guy. He has a good body and a smooth easy swing. He can hit to all parts of the field. He can run but was a little banged up in Baylor. Definite follow for 2004
