Alexander Robinson is a 2008 OF/3B with a 6'0'', 170 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends First Baptist Academy. Alexander has an athletic frame and present strength throughout. He is a very fundamentally sound player who gives 100 percent all the time. From the outfield he does a very good job getting on top and behind the ball, and has an aggressive approach. He has good arm speed and arm strength. His velocity from the outfield topped at 84 mph during the workout. He also has good speed, and tracks balls well in the outfield with it. He ran a 7.09 sixty during the workout, and showed that speed on the bases during both of his games. He does a great job handling the bat. He hits from a slightly open stance and has a good approach. He is patient and willing to wait for his pitch. He shows gap pop and will go down to get the ball. He drives through contact and makes consistent barrel contact and battles. Alex is an exciting player to watch, and was named a top prospect for the showcase. He is an excellent student.

Alexander Robinson is a 2008 OF/3B with a 6'0'', 170 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends First Baptist Academy. He has a lean, smaller athletic build with quick twitch strength and actions. Robinson is a very good outfielder with a nice combination of arm strength, speed and fundamentals. He closes to the ball very aggressively and smoothly and his arm strength is better than his 87 mph drill times. He made some very strong game throws. Robinson is a 6.83 runner with first step quickness. He's a switch-hitter at the plate and like many young switch hitters, has a shorter, quicker line drive swing from the right side and a more lofted, power type stroke from the left side. He shows very good bat control from both sides and good hand quickness and squares up consistently, showing gap to gap power. Robinson isn't an effort hitter and he's efficient in his swing mechanics. He has tools in every area of the game and he consistently gets better every time we see him. Robinson is an outstanding student.

Alexander Robinson is a 2008 OF/3B with a 6'0'', 170 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends First Baptist Academy. Alexander has a lean and athletic frame with some present strength. He is a smooth fielding outfielder who has very fluid actions. His arm is long and loose and he follows his throws well. He has arm strength and arm speed with carry on his throws. His top velocity from the outfield was 85 mph. He has very good speed and uses it well in the outfield and on the bases, he ran a 6.71 sixty during the workout. At the plate he shows strength in his swing and hits with some leverage. He is a solid switch hitter and stays short and compact to the ball from both sides. He hits from a medium base and starts his hands at his ear. He uses a deep load and long stride, and gets to the ball well with a line drive swing plane. He will look to pull the ball from both sides of the plate. Alexander is also a very good student.

Alex Robinson is a 2008 OF with a 6'0'', 165 lb. frame from Dallas TX, who attends First Baptist Academy. Named to Top Prospect Team. Robinson has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively, Robinson has good arm strength with good carry on the ball. He has quick actions in the outfield and is aggressive to the baseball. He charges the ball well and he plays outfield with some effort. Robinson is a switch hitter and can swing it from both sides of the plate well. From the right side, Robinson starts with an open stance and uses a busy load to start his swing. He uses a toe tap trigger with no stide. He has quick hands and generates some bat speed. From the left side, Robinson gets more coil at load and looks to lift the baseball more. He is quick to the ball and has some present pop. The ball jumps off his bat more from the left side and he is presently better from the left side. Robinson is an outstanding student.

Alexander Robinson is a 2008 OF/3B with a 5'11'', 165 lb. frame from Dallas TX, who attends First Baptist Academy. He has a young body that showing signs of starting to get strong. Robinson ran the 60 in 7.12 and threw 81 mph from the outfield, both very for a 2008 prospect who is projectable in both areas. Robinson is a switch hitter with above average hitting tools and offensive potential. He has excellent hitting fundamentals, with good coil and balance that put him into position to use his very quick hands to their maximum. We couldn't see much difference in Robinson right handed and left handed; he's quick and short and crushes the ball both ways. This kid just looks like he can hit and it looks easy to him. It will be interesting to see how he grows and matures physically over the next couple of years. He's a top level follow. Robinson is also a very good student.

Alex Robinson is a very young 2008 switch hitting outfielder from Dallas, Texas. His running and throwing skills are solid for his age and should continue to improve. Robinson hits from a similar style both left handed and right handed. He hits from a slightly closed spread stance with no load or stride, and a pronounced weight shift to his backside on his swing that creates an upper cut swing. Robinson generated better bat speed from the right side and made stronger contact. Adjustments to get him better balanced and moving through the ball will make him a better hitter in the future.
