Rust is a 6 foot 1, 200 pound right-hander who loves to pitch and knows how to win. He shows a fast arm and gets a lot out of his body. He uses a slightly lower than 3/4 arm slot and his fastball shows some life. He has a little effort in his delivery as most drop and drive pitchers do and he can throw both his fastball and curveball for strikes. His fastball showed 82-84 mph velocity and we have seen it even better. The fastball showed life and at times, sink. His curve sat between 68-72 mph and showed a big spin with a 2-plane break. It is a very good pitch that Rust showed confidence with. We saw him use it first pitch, behind in the count and he also doubled and tripled up on it effectively. Rust works quickly establishing a tempo and has shown mental toughness in the past. He competes and he likes to attack hitters. We think he will help give a lot of good innings to his team at the next level. He has committed to Marshalltown C.C.

Rust is a workman like RHP that really competes. He has thrown mid 80s at the best, but he's a tough pitcher to hit. Excellent life on his low 3/4 fastball. Big breaking ball. He works fast and has no fear.

Rust is kind of interesting. He attacks from the mound with a somewhat funky delivery. He has some arm strength and can spin the ball. He doesn't look like he'd be much fun to hit off of.

Anthony is an interesting prospect who has a durable arm. He is very competitve on the mound and topped out at 83 this fall. He knows how to pitch, he changes speed and locates his FB well. His breaking ball has potential and he is a definite follow.
