Grandfield is a big strong guy who will go as far as his outstanding hitting ability will take him. He's still a little on the too big side, but we think he will end up with a very good, plus body. More importantly, he has quick hands and can mash the ball to all fields. He plays a good 1B, too. Some big time college program should get serious about this kid. He has special hitting ability.

Big and strong, Grandfield can really hit and with plus raw power. The ball explodes off his bat. His other tools are a bit fringey, but he has another year to work on them. That bat is good enough to create a lot of interest.
