Drew Lydon is a 5'11", 170 lb. infielder from White Plains, Maryland, who can hit. He is a 2006 player with 7.69 sixty speed, and 4.61 home to first base time. In the infield Lydon showed tools best suited for third base with deliberate and smooth actions, and a long release on his throws. He has good arm strength with 79 mph velocity across the infield that should continue to improve. Lydon showed good balance and swing path at the plate with some extension to his swing and the ability to drive the ball. He showed his power with a nice line drive over the right fielder’s head during one at bat. If Lydon continues to develop his strength and speed, he has the tools in place to be a solid player at the next level. Lydon is a very good student off the field as well.
