Dustin Javins is a 2007 SS/RHP from Cooper City HS in Cooper City, FL, with a 5'11" 173 lb. frame. Dustin has an athletic body that produced a solid performance in the workout session. Dustin hits with an open stance at the plate and keeps his weight on the back side, which allows him to turn on the ball well. On the mound Dustin uses a strong lower half and a high leg kick from a short arm circle to produce outstanding movement on all of his pitches. As well as the outstanding life on his FB, Dustin shows a solid 10 to 4 CB, running and sinking CH and solid cutting action on his SL. Smaller colleges should take notice of Dustin.

Dustin Javins is a 5'11" 165 pound 2007 shortstop and right handed pitcher from Cooper City High School in Cooper City, Florida. He has a strong build with good athleticism. Dustin hits with an open stance and has a flat swing with good bat speed. He is a pull hitter with good power. He hits the ball hard and makes solid line drive contact. Javins has good arm strength in the field. He threw 79 mph from the outfield during the workout. His throws had good carry and he had a loose arm. On the mound, he has good command and throws strikes. He has a drop and drive delivery with a very short arm action. His fastball was at 79 mph with good run and his curveball was at 60 mph. His best pitch was his chanegup at 69 mph that had good sink and was very deceiving. Dustin is also a good student with a 3.25 gpa.
