Stringer is compared favorably to a young Jimmy Rollins. He has smooth actions in the infield with plenty of arm strength to make all the plays. He has outstanding hands and the range to play SS in the big leagues someday. His quick hands are used equally well at the plate. He hits good pitching hard with wood. Add the fact that he has become a plus runner and you have a potential high pick.

Stringer is sweet! He has big league actions, good hands, good feet, good body control and a very strong arm. As a hitter he is equally impressive. Good approach, plus bat speed, good extension, the ball jumps. Stringer is only an average runner, if he improves in that area, what's left?

Stringer showed scouts outstanding infield actions. He possesses a strong arm, but uses it very efficiently. He has good instincts and makes the plays in the easiest possible way. He has very fast hands and good range. As a hitter he uses those fast hands and instincts to the fullest advantage. He has a sound approach and the ball jumps off his bat. He’s been taught well. All Stringer needs to do is improve his 60 time (6.9 seconds) a bit in order to be a high pick in 2003.
