Murray, at 6 foot 4 and 165 pounds shows a lot of ability now and high ceiling for the future. He has a long and thin body that showed a live arm and loose arm action. He uses a slightly lower than 3/4 arm slot and gets good leverage from it. His effort was relatively low and his delivery showed good looking mechanics up until the end. He threw slightly across his body and he just did not finish strongly enough to get his release point down and out front. He threw several balls inside on the hands of the right-handed hitter. His fastball was 79-83 mph with some life. With a stronger finish we think he might have shown a copuplr clicks more on the fastball and with better command. As it was, he still showed a good working arm and a big upside with lots of ability for a College pitching coach to work with. He showed a 66-68 mph curveball with a good spin and he threw a 71-73 mph change-up. One change-up was very good with a quick arm and good location at 72 mph showing excellent potential. He is a good looking pitcher that we think has the chance to become much better in the near future. He could become a very good junior college pitcher.
