We've been following Redmond for quite some time. He has a great RHP body with projection still there. He can pitch! In Ft Myers he threw mid to upper 80s with good life. He has a nice easy smooth arm stroke. He gets some real tight rotation on his breaking ball and he throws what looks like a good tumbling sinker (splitty). His command is good and he competes. His one flaw could be the tendency to swing his stride at an angle rather than straight at the plate. It's not a big noticable thing, but it could make a big difference. Redmond is going to be a very good college pitcher and might get some serious draft interest if he tacks a couple MPH on the heater this Spring. You never know when those big velocity jumps happen. Redmond is due for one, his velocity has increased only slightly in the past couple years. There's a lot more in him.

Redmond throws a sinking high 80s fastball. He has a fairly fast arm that works nicely. His body makes him very projectable. We think he will be throwing 90s by next spring. He has the makings of a plus breaking ball, but it still needs to develop a bit more. Should start throwing the slider. Definite prospect.

Redmond had a mid 80’s fastball that he was able to locate well and a potential plus change-up with sink. His arm is loose and he projects to throw easily in the 90s. Watch him very closely!

Todd Redmond is a solid 2003 pitching prospect to watch closely. He has very good mechanics and has a long loose arm action. He threw his fastball 84-86 and topped out at 88mph. He gets good spin on his 68 mph curve and threw his changeup at 72 mph and his cutter at 81 mph. He should get plenty of looks playing alongside top prospects Milledge and Doetsch for Northside Christian High. Redmond is a very interesting follow.
