Grant Porter is a 2009 3B/SS that attends All Saints Academy and resides in Lakeland, FL with a 6'0", 180 lb. frame. Grant has an athletic build and showed nice potential at the plate. At the plate Grant has a line-drive swing with good bat speed and projectable power. The ball jumps off the bat well for Grant and his best contact is to the middle of the field. Grant has good upside at the plate and with some adjustments should be a very solid hitter. In the field Grant has soft hands but needs to get rid of the ball quicker. Third base looks like the best option for Grant at this time. Grant is a solid student that should attract the attention of many mid-level college programs.
