Royce Bolinger is a 2008 3B/OF/P with a 6'2'', 195 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Chaparral. Royce has an outstanding baseball build. He shows a very live arm with good carry in the Infield and outfield. He looked very good at 3B with smooth actions to go with his big arm. Bolinger looked very good in BP with a short swing that had bat speed. He made hard contact to all fields and was very aggressive at the plate. On the mound his fastball was easy 84-88 with little to no effort. He has smooth mechanics and lively, loose arm. He continued to show at this showcase that he is just an outstanding all around ball player. He made the top prospect list at this event and has committed to continue his career at Gonzaga.

Royce Bolinger is a 2008 OF with a 6'2'', 195 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Chaparral HS. He has a broad shouldered build with very good present strength. Bolinger worked out at both third base and in the outfield and he has a plus arm from both positions, with an easy release and fluid actions. He is athletic enough and has the tools to stand out at either position. Bolinger is a 7.19 runner. He hits from a balanced, calm hitting approach and gets to his front side early. Bolinger uses his hands to hit and has a loose, easy swing with lots of bat speed and good leverage at contact. He has pull power now and he can add more with more use of his lower body. Bolinger has the tools and strength to keep developing in all areas. He is a good student.

Royce Bolinger is a 2008 OF with a 6'2'', 195 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ, who attends Chaparral HS. Named to the Top Prospect Team. Bolinger has an athletic frame with present strength in his body and is still projectable. He showed very good arm strength from the outfield with online carry to the bag. He moves well showing fluid actions, and he tracks the ball well reading it off the bat. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a balanced approach. Bolinger has good bat speed through the zone and he gets leverage at the point of contact producing raw power. He keeps his hands back well showing the ability to hit off-speed pitches as well. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with good arm speed. Bolinger has a little toe tap like Rob Nen, but his arm works well. There is upside to his overall game both ways. Bolinger is an excellent student as well, and is a must follow.
