Elliott Miller is a thick chested and strong 2006 third baseman from Birmingham, AL. He has good smooth actions at third base and looks like he can handle that position very well defensively, especially if he can work on his lower body quickness. Miller’s big tool is his bat, though. He has a very quiet, simple set up with a quick, short swing that’s all business. Miller does a very good job of keeping his weight and hands back behind the ball and letting it get deep in the zone before hitting it. He has the hand strength to turn those pitches around and showed flashes of plus power potential. Miller is still young, but it looks like he can be a very productive hitter at the college level if he keeps his current approach. Miller also pitched a quick 1-2-3 inning, topping out at 78 mph with a good clean delivery. Keep an eye on this junior. Elliott is a good student.
