Eric Tasler is a 2005 left handed hitting middle infielder from Mobile, AL, who showed much better in the showcase games than during the workout. His speed especially played differently. Tasler ran out a couple of ground balls in 4.28 and 4.29 and showed quicker feet in the field in game action. He's definitely a running threat. At the plate, Tasler has a contact, line drive oriented swing and hits the ball where it’s pitched. He will feel for the ball on the outside half and has a better stroke on inside pitches when he keeps his hands inside the ball. He shows bat speed on the inner half. Tasler’s hands are very good and he projects to second base in college. Eric is an excellent student.
