Eric Wright is a 2007 left handed pitcher/first baseman from Ft Worth, TX, with a medium frame and a lean athletic build at 5-11 165 lbs. He has slightly sloped shoulders and shows room to grow and mature. On the mound, he throws from an overhand slot with a long full arm circle. His delivery shows some effort and he does stab a bit at the bottom of his drop and drive style motion. His fastball was 79 mph and showed slight arm side fade. His curveball was big and slow at 66 mph with a 12-6 break. He is a young projectable pitcher with time to gain arm strength and experience he is a good prospect to follow.

Eric is a young 2007 left handed pitcher from Texas who is a good athlete with some ability as an outfielder as well. He has long arms and legs and should add size and strength easily. Eric has a fluid, easy delivery on the mound with a little stiffness out front. His fastball topped out at 79, nice velocity for a young sophomore left hander, and he threw a 68 mph curveball and 65 mph change up. Eric's change up already shows the potential to be an effective pitch for him. Eric repeated his mechanics well, hides the ball from the hitters and showed the ability to throws strikes and spot the ball. At the plate, Eric is a switch hitter who has an exaggerated closed stance, with good use of his hands in his swing and nice bat speed for a young hitter. He's loose and fluid athletically and when he gets stronger might really start whipping the bat head. He has the speed and arm strength to be a good defensive corner outfielder.
