Leon Phillips is a 2009 1B/P/OF with a 6'4'', 180 lb. frame from Valdosta, GA who attends Valdosta HS. Tall, lean build, long legs. Very good athlete, nice arm strength, can run, nice plays in the OF. Raw hitting mechanics, no stride, upper cut rotational swing, pulls off balls. Should have the athletic ability to hit, needs mechanical work. Project for a hitting coach. Good student.
