Brewer Carter is a 2010 SS/P with a 6'0'', 150 lb. frame from Phenix City, AL who attends Brookstone HS. He has a small, young frame and slender build. He showed good arm strength for his age at shortstop and has a short, quick arm action that should serve him well in the future. He is a 7.54 runner. Carter hits from a calm and still start with good hand quickness to the ball and some bat head skills. He's not strong right now but showed the ability to consistently center up on the ball and make solid contact to the middle of the field. When he's older and stronger those balls are going to travel some. His bat looks pretty promising. Carter also took a turn on the mound and was polished in his mechanics and approach. He spotted a 78 mph fastball to both sides of the plate and had nice command, His curveball was soft at 57 mph. Carter has some nice young tools to build on and should be followed. He is also a good student.
