Tory West is a 2010 RHP/OF with a 6'0'', 175 lb. frame from Hazel Green, AL who attends Hazel Green HS. Medium build, some developing strength. Full wind up, long arm actions, slows at release, high release point. FB 75-79 mph. Looked good in the OF, 6.90 runner, good arm strength/carry. Shows raw bat speed, power potential from spread stance, looks to lift. May be better OF prospect long term. Good student.

Tory West is a 2010 RHP/OF with a 6'0'', 170 lb. frame from Hazel Green, AL who attends Hazel Green HS. He has a lean, athletic build that has some strength for a 15 year old and should continue to get stronger and bigger. West throws from a multi-piece delivery that can be toned down some and simplified and has a short, quick arm action. He doesn't use his lower half much in his delivery and can make some adjustments there. West's fastball was mostly 75-77 mph, touch 79, and has some arm side running action. Both his off speed pitches showed some quality and should keep getting better. His curveball had tight 11/5 type spin at 66 mph and he showed nice feel for a 68 mph change up. West is a good overall athlete who has potential as an outfielder as well. He ran the 60 in 7.04 and threw 82 mph from the outfield, both very good standards for his age. He's a switch-hitter who shows a lot more contact ability from the right side and good bat speed both ways. He should be followed as a two-way player. West is also a very good student.
