Haden Hinkle is a 2009 RHP/1B with a 6'3'', 200 lb. frame from Madera, CA who attends Madera High School. He has a very good, physical build, easy arm action, and solid IF hands. At the plate he has good balance, an easy swing, good timing, hit one that was 92 mph off bat, very good hands, stays inside the baseball, and runs the bases hard. He is also a very good student.

Haden Hinkle is a 2009 RHP/1B/3B with a 6'3'', 200 lb. frame from Madera, CA who attends Madera HS. He was selected as a Top Prospect as a pitcher at this event. Hinkle is long and strong with a really good pitchers frame/body. He has a loose arm that works from an over the top slot. Hinkle projects quite a bit on the mound and has a chance to really burst on the scene in the next year. He didn't go above 85 mph but with his body and arm action, there is every indication that he will eventually develop upper-80s velocity. The slider is Hinkle's best pitch. He actually threw it nearly as hard as his fastball at times, getting it up to 76 mph. He also has a two plane curveball, but that slider projects as a plus pitch and he should continue to work on developing that pitch. Hinkle also swung the bat well. He is a really aggressive hitter with good bat speed and good plate coverage. He has some present day power, especially when he gets extension. Defensively Hinkle attacks the ball and plays low through the ball. He is pretty good around the bag. Some college programs might view Hinkle as a two-way prospect but long term it would appear as though he projects best on the mound. Hinkle is also an outstanding student.
