2005 World Showcase
Greg Wright is a 2005 first baseman from Needham, Massachusetts, with a 6'2", 225 lb. frame. He is a left handed hitter with good bat speed and some present raw power. He has a slight loft in his swing that helps him drive some pitches, but hurts in making consistent hard contact. Wright is aggressive at the plate and sometimes swings at bad pitches. Having better awareness of the strike zone and improved pitch selection would allow him to have more quality at bats, and to utilize his power potential. He has the hitting tools, he just needs to refine his approach and improve his other tools. Greg is a strong student.
