Brando Tessar is a 2010 RHP/2B with a 6'0'', 180 lb. frame from Simi Valley, CA who attends Chaminade College Prep. Strong athletic build, very good all-around athletic ability, has run faster in the past, plays football as well, arm works well, online delivery, balanced repeatable delivery, boring action on fastball, velocity projects, finishes well to the plate, two-plane break on slider, around the plate, downward plane, solid bat speed at the plate, hits the ball to all fields, ball jumps off bat some, easy lift.

Brando Tessar is a 2010 RHP/OF/2B with a 6'0'', 185 lb. frame from Simi Valley, CA who attends Chaminade College Prep. Tessar is one of the better players in his age group in Southern California. He has a strong, lean athletic build that is well-proportioned. Though he did not have a showing fully representative of what his future has in store, Tessar still showed well, particularly on the mound. He has a quick arm that works cleanly from an over the top slot. He is a good athlete with a repeatable delivery and some pitchability. Tessar's fastball was 80-84 mph with some arm side life. Look for him to sneak into the mid-80s later this spring. His varied the velocity of his curveball and threw it with good depth and two plane action. He also showed a developing changeup. Offensively Tessar employs a good hitting approach and his hands work well as they sort of sweeps the barrel through zone, resulting in line drive contact. Colleges should have him on their recruit list for 2010 grads.
